Ron Paul is a nut case. Given the fact that Medina worked with him on his presidential campaign- that should be enough to boot her.

Based on comments on his shows last week he was getting a great deal of feedback from fans regarding Palin assisting Perry.

Medina supporters had contacted him regarding her & he seemed interested in her candidacy. I’m sure when he mentioned it, people like my husband contacted him about the possibility so he asked the question.

We Cant stand Hutchison & don’t like Perry either. We appreciate some Libertarian viewpoints but do not agree with the Truthers.

Do you believe Perry or Hutchison to be on the up and up or do you believe they've lied, deceived and or manipulated you on a host of issues for gain or the gain of their insider buddies?

I really don't have a strong opinion of either; I'm not from Texas. I'm on this thread to discuss Medina, and all my comments have been about her, not about the other two.

It's all in the perception. I believe Medina is probably the more genuine of the 3, regardless of her flaw.

Her "flaw"?!? She's insane - that's quite a flaw!

You mentioned in another post that it's "about the message" a vote for Medina sends to the others. Well now, that message is, "Why didn't any police die in the WTC collapse?" A vote for Medina is now a vote for insanity and amounts to pissing on the graves of the 60 police officers who did die that day. You want to do that, go ahead, but don't expect me to remain silent about it.

Too bad about her 9/11 beliefs. On the surface she sounded pretty good.

Yeah, now we are stuck between a RINO and a hard place. Why SarahP endorsed McCain and Perry is beyond me.

Damn it! No way I will vote for KBH. If Perry was the person he alleges to be every 4 years, I would vote for him. Medina really screwed up! What to do? Medina can’t be any worse than Jesse Ventura! I guess I will vote for Jesse Medina!

My response was pedantic - focusing on the detail of whether or not Perry rescinded his EO. Unfortunately, because I zero in on details (a strength and a weakness of mine) I sometimes fail to make myself perfectly clear on the larger issue.

So I’ll do that now. I believe Perry was wrong to issue the EO. I was angry when he did so. I demanded that he rescind. it. I believe political kickbacks were involved. I’m glad the legislature passed the bill to rescind it. I don’t think vetoing the bill would have ended his career, but it certainly would have damaged it. I believe he listened to those who objected and chose to let the will of the people prevail over his own. I think that’s to his credit.

BTTT.

This $#!# is goofy—but then, it’s not as goofy as selling out conservatives. Which Perry and Hutchinson will do, no doubt about it.

Well, I guess that what “setting up” amounts to is a debatable point. What I’m saying is that even if he planned it ahead of time as something likely to trip her up, and even if his personal preference was for Perry, as some have said, more power to him. Reporters are allowed to ask probing questions. It was a legitimate question, and it prompted her to stumble and reveal herself for what she is.

The “setting up” charge is as absurd as when the Democrats tried to claim Monica Lewinsky was sent by Republicans to “set up” Clinton.

Each of us is responsible for our own stupidity. Debra’s not ready for prime time.

I can understand(don’t agree with it) endorsing McCain due to some loyalty for being picked to be his veep. Have no clue what her connection to Perry would be.

They worked together as governors.

Sarah was in Texas in the middle of giving a speech at an energy summit when she thought she started going into labor. Apparently, she left rather suddenly after the speech and Perry took over for her.

She then flew to Hawaii, got a newspaper to print a birth announcement, then flew to Kenya, gave birth, and flew back to Alaska...and gave birth to Bristol's son Trig.

I don’t know if Kinky is running...but I still see “Kinky For Governor” bumper stickers (usually on older model trucks).

Too bad about her 9/11 beliefs. On the surface she sounded pretty good.

She makes a great first impression.

However, I decided to dig a little deeper well before the Glenn Beck interview and discovered that she was a lockstep Ron Paul acolyte (and even sued the Texas GOP in '08 on behalf of the Paul contingent), that she was more than happy to criticize Republicans (as we all are), but never uttered anything negative about Democrats and that she had appeared on the Alex Jones show a couple of times.

I backed away from her very quickly.

I'm not expecting anyone to do anything but use their own conscience.

This thread does involve Hutchison and Perry. I am a native Texan and I have kept up with both of these bozos.

It's concerning that there are so many who will support them blindly over Medina and not even bother to research the crooked goings ons and back room poppycock with the two of’em.

Either way, Medina doesn't have a chance in hades of winning, but I was really hoping (up until about a week ago) that we might have a viable candidate to possibly throw this phony baloney Perry outta the governors mansion.

Thanks for the info. I don’t get AM radio for beans around here. Who is Alex Jones? Is he a Texas local show?
