You are right. The figure cited is a pathetic fraction of the total cost, some of which simply cannot be stated in monetary terms.

And this is where US Senators such as Inhofe will have perfectly legitimate reasons to seek investigations into just what the CRU as well as NASA has done, and if they deliberately side stepped the FOIA as it stands in both countries.
The fire has hardly been lit at this point. My hope is that it will ultimately lead to in effect neutering any further plans the EPA has in store for the USA. Shut down zero's goons chances at taking us out big time.

What about the time taken away from legitimate coarse of study in schools...When I think of the number of geology and other science students and others who spent their college years being indoctrinated with this bunk, it sickens me. What an incalculable wate of resources, time, and people.

the real annual cost has to be three orders of magnitude greater than this. Google "Carbon Credits" for a jaw dropping realization of the scope of this illicit market of forced purchasing of thin air that the Obamanation fully intends to foist on us.
The EPA has announced that they intend to proceed regardless of whether there's any merit to the science while Obama is just changing the reason for cap'n tax.
There are wall to wall carbon trading companies right now selling carbon credits every day, reaping millions of dollars from industry and thousands from families.
Look up what these "firms" charge for a family of 5 to offset their carbon footprint, and you will immediately recognize The Largest RICO Case In The History Of Mankind.
This isn't over yet. Not by a long shot.
