should I bother to ask?
“Claims are now at their lowest level since Jan 2.
Claims had spiked in January, reversing a downward trend.”
????
Administration: “Our situation is improving! We’re getting worse at a slower rate!”
Good thing Porkulus created or saved 5,893,501,893 jobs.
to be revised at a later date
I like to put things in perspective for the math challenged that can't understand what 440k of people losing their job last month really means.
Many are off the numbers now as their unemployment checks are up...God help them!!!! Imagine if you had no money coming in, how do you pay the mortgage, food, electric? What a mess to be in. My heart goes out to the unemployed. And please spare me the comments about being on the Government dull....before you open your mouth and insert your foot, think...think about how you would feel unemployed, using up your savings and then no unemployment check coming in..It is scary as h*ll!!!
Job hunters have a different opinion of this “rebounding” economy.
That could merely mean their unemployment benefits expired.
NEGATIVE 43,000!! Things are looking up! That’s MUCH better than shedding 500,000 jobs a month. Obama is a genius and a miracle worker. Praise Marx!
Red is red. Let us know when we get into the black and actual unemployment is being reduced.
People running through their benefits and dropping off the rolls doesn't count. I'm in agreement that true unemployment borders 20%.
Only 440,000 new unemployment claims! Happy days are here again! Let’s party!
Anyone adding up the total unemployment?
At this rate, there will be no private industry jobs by November of 2012. I wonder what the consequences of that will be.
I wonder if we are going to get the 13th consecutive monthly upward “revision” in a row, so that the Dems get the headline today, and the footnote next Saturday night giving us the real number.
This will probably have to keep happening for another decade before the stupid press figures it out......that assumes, of course, that they are remotely capable of figuring.
Typical MarketWatch article.
48-point font for this story.
Next week when they revise the numbers and we see something closer to the truth, it will be in 2-pt font at the bottom of some unrelated page.
DON’T READ MARKETWATCH ARTICLES. JUST READ THE COMMENTS FROM THOSE WHO KNOW WHAT THEY’RE TALKING ABOUT.
Wanna bet the snow and the lack of fed workers in DC have resulted in non-reporting and these stats are incomplete?
Wait for next week when the real reality of the four days off the feds took for snow, really hits the stats.
Can’t file for unemployment when the govt office is closed.
How many times do we have to be accosted by these lies? In a waeek or two the numbers will be “surprisingly” higher.
