Wanna bet the snow and the lack of fed workers in DC have resulted in non-reporting and these stats are incomplete?
Wait for next week when the real reality of the four days off the feds took for snow, really hits the stats.
Can’t file for unemployment when the govt office is closed.
How many times do we have to be accosted by these lies? In a waeek or two the numbers will be “surprisingly” higher.
When will GOD strike these liars down?
This is like carrying a gas can to a fire. This just PISSES me off more every month!
Washington doesn't do Basic Math. They do Obfuscation With Numbers and Other Numerical Ploys.
Hint: "Unemployed" is not the same as "not working." If you were "unemployed" for the last twelve months but have now decided to pack it in and live off your relatives, for the purpose of the official numbers, you are no longer "unemployed."
Many have maxed out on their unemployment benefits and are therefore no longer reporting to the state "Employment Office" and thus are dropped from the calculation.
Vote Independent, screw the enablers!!!!!!!!!!
Uh, that’s the University of Michigan Big House, so you need another 1/4th of a stadium to get to 440K
Lets not forget the fact that small business owners who go under are not included in these numbers either.
Hold on, is the 440,000 number “lost jobs in a week”? Please confirm! Is that 440,000 within 7 whole days?
Could it be that there’s no one left to fire????
One cannot confront another from another from his own black race. However, whites confront others of the “white” race every day!
Steele must go, or the GOP is toast for me. I knew when Barry won the TOTUS the race card would be trumping everything.
Real nice.
Barry, The Muslim, has learned from History. Barry has 35 months to continue his Islamic deeds.
Only 440,000 people lost jobs in Washington state in the last week?
Things are really getting better.
“”””””On a side note. I find it odd that no one ever mentions the tens of thousands of self employed people that are out of work. I’m talking about all the small businessmen and women that are the backbone of American business. Those people that hire 2, 3, 4 or 5 people at most but that are now out of work themselves. Those people are not eligible for unemployment benefits even though they too are out of work. They are also NOT HIRING.””””””””””
I share shop space and land with six other small businesses. We have been together for years in this communal relationship. We are all the typical small business types. 3-4 employees, self employed, ineligible for unemployment.
This winter, so far, THREE of the companies have folded.
They don’t show up on any unemployment statistics anywhere.
No one has surveyed this household. This IS taxation without representation.
These pricks must go! And the angry gun toting, bible carrying crowd IS NOT getting smaller.
Posts of the day!!!
EVERY Conservative/Republican running for office should use your words as there talking points; they’d win 98% of the time.
Perfectly stated points!
Yes.
People have either exhausted their unemployment benefits or quit looking, thus fewer claims.
Those figures don’t tally how many Americans are out of work, just how many have filed claims. In this pr0l0nged recession, it’s not an accurate measure of misery.
Giving some hope that the recovery is picking up steam!
Layoffs aren’t the only way to shed jobs. Business failures work quite as well.
I figure that Florida and Texas have been not participating in the depression. We don’ like’at. Time to share the misery.
Stop the presses! We don’t suck as much as we did last week! Lets have a party.
