I think it will be either a joint defense pact with Russia or China, or a deal with these nations to trade oil in a non-western currency.

The only other thing that would have significant impact would be a verifiable nuclear test.

What happened to Iran has until the end of the year to give up their nuclear ambitions or this will no longer be a diplomatic debate?

Interesting how China is being so PRODUCTIVE in determining US foreign policy these days.

US Foreign Policy Bought and Sold!

However, should Iran or any other nation / psudo state with extremists miscalculate our resolve and act against our allied interests let them know we will consider it an Act of War and such actions will be harshly retaliated upon!

The American public is at the boiling point with threating B.S. and the time is long overdue for a permanent solution to this problem!

BBC Ex-USSR: Iran aiming to provoke regional military conflict - Russian exper 91) ☆ By enriching uranium to a higher grade, Iran is embarking on a deliberate course of provoking a military conflict in the Middle East due to its unstable domestic situation, Aleksey Arbatov, head of the International Security Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences' Institute of World Economy and International Relations, said in a live interview to Russian Defence Ministry-controlled Zvezda TV on 9 February. He also said that Tehran will suddenly announce it has developed a nuclear weapon, and noted that 20 per cent-grade uranium was sufficient to develop a primitive but functioning nuclear device. On 9 February Iran announced that it had started enriching uranium to

hen asked by the presenter whether enriching uranium to a grade of 20
er cent would enable Iran to develop a nuclear weapon, Arbatov said:
By the standards which have been drawn up by the international atomic
nergy commission, if the Iranians have uranium enriched to 20 per
ent and higher, this is deemed weapons-grade uranium”. While he
cknowledged that the current nuclear powers enrich uranium to 90 per
ent or higher for their weapons, he said that “already with 20 per

cent you can create quite a primitive, but nevertheless functioning
nuclear device”.

“Therefore the fact that despite all the beneficial proposals that
Russia, UN and the international community have made, Iran has
nevertheless started enriching to 20 per cent shows that Iran is
simply moving step by step towards nuclear weapons, is playing for
time and is using the talks as a screen,” Arbatov said. He also noted
that one day in the future, in the same way as Tehran announced its
intention to enrich higher-grade uranium, “it will be announced that
Iran has after all decided to create a nuclear weapon, citing all
kinds of threats”.

In response to the presenter’s subsequent question of how justified
the talk of a war in the region was, Arbatov said: “This probably is
the case. The thing is that Iran’s current ruling regime, made up of
the Ayatollah [Ali Khamene’i] and the guards of the Islamic revolution
led by President [Mahmud] Ahmadinezhad, feel very uncertain. The
domestic situation in Iran is becoming more difficult. Mass opposition
has appeared and the regime has become unstable, and I think that what
they are now doing is a deliberate course towards provoking a military

“The Iranian leadership is proceeding from the fact that the United
States will not launch a strike in upcoming months, primarily for
political reasons. President [Barack] Obama is a president of peace,
he has received a Nobel prize, and it is now just absolutely
unacceptable for him to start his actions by launching a third war
along with Iraq and Afghanistan,” Arbatov concluded.
