Why does an idiot flirt with a gun? Because it’s cool? Years after winning the cold war America is putting a gun in its mouth. To impress Europe? Feeling guilty about destroying the USSR? Why this destructive urge? Is socialism a luxury idem? Are Americans morally superior to will themselves into poverty? Socialism would then be a luxury idem, a romantic attempt to right the wrongs and if that can’t be done — just have a country of “equal opportunity” wrongs. That’s what Obama is doing: everything wrong. If everything is wrong — America is in the crapper — there is no one to blame because everyone is to blame, everyone is American and, therefore, open to blame. Flirting with a loaded gun is wrong only at this time because we know better. At some point it won’t be recognized as such. At some point it won’t matter...

The answer would be discernment because figuring out that this system is just systematic theft should not take one too long to discern.

Look first to our poor public school system which began to be commandeered by leftists back in the 60s. The ignorance regarding socialism, communism, fascism, etc., etc., comes first and most directly from that source.
Conservatism will become Politically Correct.
And yet so many Americans retreat to home schooling and leave the next generation in the hands of Zinn fans. Why not teach in public schools and help guide other people's children? That's what we do as Scout leaders, as coaches, and as mentors; why not do it where the children with the greatest need for a role model can be found?
I say we write off the 36% who favor socialism, and concentrate on the rest.

This is still the same crowd that believes in aborting those that they would depend upon to pay their debts.

Let it die. We can replace it with lectures on YouTube, consultations by Skype, grading in Bangalore (at least they can read English and do mathematics, unlike our public school "teachers"), and testing in strip malls. There is absolutely no need for mass indoctrination centers. Sell the land, lay off the baby-sitters, and rebate the taxes. Parents might then afford to stay home with their kids.
I agree school is a bastion for socialistic thought, where youthful idealism about the collective meets no countervailing resistance in reality. You can trace its origin back to Dewy and even farther back to Rousseau: socialism/general will as a corrective to bourgeois society. At one time there was more open debate about socialism vs capitalism but now it is dogma, almost a theological imperative that breeds an activism, sort of missionary work.

I shall show on the contrary that in using general relativity and quantum mechanics, we have never left the Newtonian world-view.
And in a lengthy paper he does and attacks many leftist views including abortion thruout the paper....a real Tour de Force.
I think the solution is redistribution of lead pills.
