I think I would have placed my “beverage” on the counter and told him to sell it to one of the Brady bunch. Maybe he would get the massage.

That was what pissed me off too. They waited till after completing the transaction to discover they were opposed to guns.

I always remember a scene from a Joseph Wambaugh movie adaptation although I cannot recall the name of the movie. The scene is a cop bar with a large gathering of off-duty PD. A man bursts through the doors, pulls out a gun and yells, “this is a hold-up; nobody move”. In the next instance, some fifty or so patrons all pull out their weapons and take aim on the would be robber. If private citizens were not only allowed but encouraged to carry, concealed or otherwise, this would be the more likely outcome in any such mass murder event. The innocent usually die because they cannot appropriately respond.
