“I’m here to start working,” a resolute Brown said, entering the Russell Senate Building en route to his transitional office. “We have to get our office up and running ... I’m here, ready to go I have a whole morning of briefings.”

As for Kennedy, he faces a Republican rival who is backed by Brown’s top strategists.

A WPRI-12 poll shows Kennedy with a 56 percent unfavorability rating in his district. Republican challenger John J. Loughlin II, a veteran state lawmaker, entered the race yesterday.

Loughlin said Kennedy is out of touch with Rhode Island voters. “We can’t afford it anymore,” he added.

A Kennedy spokesman declined to comment.

Brown should have asked Dick Cheney how he would respond.

U.S. Rep. Patrick Kennedy

Isn't this the guy who had been in rehab like a half dozen times we know of?

Just imagine, if he had a different last name, he would be taking an order at the drive in window !

My response to reporter asking my thoughts on Kennedy.

“Ladies and Gentlemen addiction is a terrible thing. Obviously Patrick is still dealing with his, so let’s not belittle him about every silly statement he makes. I wish him the best and hope he gets well soon.”

The people of Massachusetts weren’t joking when they pulled the lever for Brown, so the joke is on Patrick Kennedy and the rest of his accursed family.

Heard on Howie Carr this afternoon that he’d talked to Scott Brown on the phone, and Scott said he was flying home to escape the snow, then planned to drive the truck down to DC, with the family dogs. He flies coach. (Nancy Pelosi, take note.)

OMG ... I just read through the replies here and now I realize that’s a REAL photo of Hottie Scottie and Patches. I thought it was Photoshopped! It’s such a cliche’ — Brown looks so great and pulled-together, and beside him, Kennedy looks like he crawled out of the rag bag. Amazing.

I checked Senate.gov, Brown's page is not up yet, as of this morning. :(

The Kennedys are sore losers, pure and simple. Their sense of entitlement is amazing. Hope this is truly the end of the Kennedy ‘dynasty’. I did like JFK Jr., he seemed to be more of his mother’s son than anything like his father.
