Not “orbs.” Faces and the whole bodies of the people themselves, only pint size, of the real people who once lived here right after the Civil War. I know ^that^ sounds crazy, but it’s true. Neighbors and guests have seen the Captain and the Colonel. I have “heard” them. We keep whiskey in a upstairs cupboard for them. It’s been there 5 years and remains sealed.

Did you ever hit the old XO restaurant on Main Street, that was waterfront during the Revolution and my ggg...grandfather Updike ran his privateers out of the area, the XO building was built later in 1799 but it’s cool having dinner knowing the old spirits are walking about.
