Money quote: this good man is no Ted Kennedy and here's why:
"Even more importantly, these are urgent times for our nation. The President this week submitted a $3.8 trillion budget. We'll have to borrow 40% of that amount because we don't have the money to pay for all that spending. I'm concerned we're living beyond our means. Also this week, the CIA director said there will be another al-Qaeda attack in the US in the next 3 to 6 months. This is frightening news, and we owe the people of America everything we can do to deter and prevent future attacks on our nation."
Its the conservatism, stupid!

Is he still in the NG? I’ll bet they try to deploy him.

Does this mean Paul Kirk is going to stop voting on legislation now? Kirk cast a vote earlier today, hours after Gov Duval signed the election results.

I also want to extend my appreciation to all of you in the press. I see many familiar faces here and I want you to know how much I respect the work you do, and the patience and many kindnesses you have shown my family.Dishonest politician alert.

His brief press conference after, solidified he is a conservative. Democrats must be messing their pants.

He doesn’t support Obamacare. And he was right when he just said, the stimulus didn’t create ONE JOB.

He supports health care with choice, and the use of Health Savings Accounts, not one with the feds in charge.
In case you didn't know his position.

Exactly. Anyone who supports socialized health care and is Pro-Murder is not conservative.
To: Stars&StripesNE
He doesnt support Obamacare. Right. So he's "conservative in comparison." That's a fallacy. And it's apparently a very effective one.
Google "incrementalism," "fabian socialism."
Nothing new under the sun.

As with all politicians talk is cheap. We will be watching his votes. Don’t disappoint us Sen. Brown.

He's the anti-Uncle Ted. Uncle Ted supported government-run health care and opposed the water-boarding of terrorists. That legacy is now gone!

you're gonna have to do your own homework, champ. I've posted it myself twice; I imagine it's been posted several more times.
The problem with the "information age" is that, if you're not pro-active and skeptical, you're gonna get...well, "bamboozled."

He's pro-choice and supports universal healthcare. That's not conservatism I'm with you 100%. But given the choice between a pro-abortion, pro-spending Dem and a pro-abortion, anti-spending Republican, I'll take the Republican, especially in Massachusetts.
Senate appointments are for life here in MA, so for the next 20 or 30 years, the MA state delegation will be 50-50 D&R. That's a minor miracle.
To: St_Thomas_Aquinas
I'll take the RepublicanWhat gain is this?
This man is the catalyst for univeral healthcare nationwide, simply because everyone thinks he's "not for obamacare." He is THE Trojan Horse of compromise.
Thank you all for falling for it.

Kirk is 'Rat hack, if Marcia Croakley had won the election last month on the 19th, Kirk would have been heading back to Massachusetts on the afternoon of the 20th, following Croakley's IMMEDIATE swearing in.
Fortunately, things didn't work out that way.

He's against the Niagara of federal spending and for a stronger offensive against terrorists. I hope he can stop what Obama is doing to America's future.
