As sporting as shooting a family dog.
They were tipped off by the refrigerator magnet: “Mr Buck Stops Here”.
There’s always some low-life who will kill a tame deer. There was a video of two guys killing a tame deer and stuffing it into their car trunk in front of a bunch of women and kids who had been petting the deer. I hope they got some serious jail time, plus confiscation of their guns and car. If you want venison, get a license and shoot a wild one.
Killing a deer with a knife? I’d have to be near to starving before I’d try anything like that. Tame deer or not.
This low life didnt want the meat. He only took the head.
“He said that after the deer pinned him to the ground with his antlers,”
I suspect that a very similar thing may happen to Mr. Gregory while he is a guest at Texas Department of Corrections.
Just happened to be packing a bone saw??????
I like how this idiot tried to defend his actions because the dear pinned him to the ground.
Never mind the minor detail about Gregory jumping the fence.
Should’ve been given a hefty fine and 100 hours of community service under the game commission’s watch.
Incacerating a human for killing an animals devalues human life.
Nice cammies. Guess that’s what you wear when you go deer-stabbing at night.
This lowfife’s life has no value, and he should get life. That deer was more valuable than the POS that killed it.
And what is “Incacerating”?
Not at all, it’s a property crime. If you read the charge.
Whether the property is living or not doesn’t devalue human life. Not everything that has a stiff crime because it’s an animal devalues human life. If you are worried about such a short sentence devaluing human life, I am all for extending the sentences we give to people who injure or murder other people.
But punishing a guy for taking other people’s property (on an animal sactuary no less) isn’t devaluing anyone’s life. It is upholding property rights of the sanctuary. And it was a living piece of property that gave joy to a lot of other people that is no longer around to enjoy. He robbed a lot more people than the sanctuary on which the buck lived.
“That deer was more valuable than the POS that killed it.”
You might want to take a breath and think. Deer are rats with hooves. What this guy did was pathetic but its not worthy of life in jail and the deer certainly isn’t worth more than him.
I for one don’t think a deer is worth a million dollars which is what it would cost to keep him in jail for life.
Really? If he stole 500 dollars from you would you want jail time, what about 5K dollars. Seems to me that using your logic, if you jail a human for something other than injuring or killing a human, you are devaluing human life.
I for one think the crime (and I’m a deer hunter) is FAR WORSE than stealing. He didn’t kill it because he was hungry, he killed it so he could boast about what a great deer hunter he was. He’ll have some time to think about how much that is worth now...
I don’t know... Somebody that would do this, isn’t worth very much on ANY scale. Deer are just deer, this POS is a criminal, I’d hate to think of what he is capable of if he thinks he won’t get caught. I’d much rather have a deer living next door than this creep.
A feller killing another feller's livestock ought to be glad he didn't get shot for his trouble. IMHO.
