LOL, cause I knew you would respond...lol!
I realize it is because of the calibration setting but...I just wonder why, when that particular recorder captured other S waves from the few bigger quakes recently.
Thanks for you imput, really!

Check out the activity tonight at at the YMR site. Looks like there may be some harmonics, but there is not a lot of activity at the other sites. Looks fairly isolated.

Mom Md, good catch.
At your prompting I took a look at the other webicorders(I did note the activity on the YMR earlier) and yes it is strange the amount of feedback going on. Almost every recorder has responses. Indeed there are harmonic signatures in many of the webicorders.
Interesting for that has not been the case in the past among the recorders, only when there was a certified quake.
Steve, what do you think?

So much for that elk hunt I have been saving for.
I have a vacation booked for Yellowstone in August. Just my luck the place blows up before I get there. You know I wish Obama would have put keeping the ground from blowing up ahead of stopping the oceans rising and air warming. I mean he has as much chance of stopping the worlds largest volcano as he does of stopping the other two.

Reviewing the webicorders tonight, there was indeed a large harmonic tremor capture on all of the webicorders.
Shortly after 12:01 on the YPK station recorded it best.
http://www.quake.utah.edu/helicorder/ypk_webi.htm
Few things to note, since it appeared on all the webicorders this was not a localized event i.e. radio influence, traffic or geyser.
Also, note how each webicorder is set up to record such and event, quite the difference.
There were no large earthquakes recorded elsewhere in the world that remotely would match up to this being an Long duration S/Wave.
I am one hundred percent convinced this was a small harmonic event.

Wow! Check out the height elevation changes over the last few years around our latest swarm!
http://www.uusatrg.utah.edu/ts_ysrp.html
Easy to understand now the tectonics behind such a swarm.
Running from a line from Old Faithful, the elevation has risen dramatically, while just a few miles away, from a line north from Madison the area has subsided.
Good stuff right here!

I am trying to figure out how harmonic tremors can be in that location. Is there a volcano there?
I am looking at this first link you gave me it i very nice! thank you.
going to look at the other ones in a few minutes.
thanks
