The color scheme is not historically accurate. Red was long been used to symbolize Marxism and the radical left, and now it’s applied to conservatives and Republicans. Can nothing be done to change this?
More info and details of the survey at the following link:
I think this poll is an attempt to discredit the Virginia-New Jersey-Massachusetts string of wins related to the Tea Part movement, as a part of a larger attempt to discredit the movement itself. This is Alinskyism at its best/worst.
This survey says OK leans Democratic. Right!

I knew Gallup was BS. The only state where EVERY county voted against Obama. It’s more RED than Texas.
Zackly!
Who did this study again?? It’s totally inaccurate like it came from snopes or something.
Missouri as a whole DOES NOT LEAN MORE DEMOCRAT....
St Louis, Kansas city, Columbia perhaps. Rest of the state NO DICE. We are CONSERVATIVE.
I was just going to post the same. OKLAHOMA????
This is what illegal immigration can do to a country. We’re headed over the same cliff England went over.
Gallup is a joke.
What better way to achieve their goals than to let the collectivists take over?
I am seriously beginning to wonder if the “wings” do indeed provide the fuselage with all the lift, so to speak.
It’s too bad the wackjob Alex Jones has thoroughly salted this field of possible explanations for the madness all around us.
Over-population is a growing problem. It’s not a stretch to image these power mongering sociopaths devising a crazy scheme to kill many birds with one collectivist stone.
All I have are questions at this point. You know, the information IV, ‘n all...trickle...trickle...trickle....
I have a feeling the map is going to look a lot more red than blue come November.
Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, the Dakotas, South Carolina, Georgia, and Louisiana are all “competitive” and West Virginia, Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky and Tennessee are BLUE???? LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are right. Good grief...Missouri “leans democratic?” Take a look at the county Presidential voting maps. Kansas City and St. Louis proper are solid Democrat, but the suburbs have plenty of Republicans. I’m in Columbia and while any loon associated with MU typically leans left, there are plenty of Republicans here,too...hell, I think Bush won Boone County in 2004. These idiots at Gallup are clueless.
All through the time I was growing up, Republicans were usually blue, and Democrats were usually Red, up until the USA Today switched the colors with great fanfare a few elections ago.
Ever since, it’s been Red States vs. Blue States.
I blame USA Today.
