................census workers.
***********************************************
ABSOLUTELY! And remember O is hiring 3X the number that did the job in 2000.
A lot are temporary jobs. TXDOT repaved a 15 mile stretch of road, put in new gaurdrails and straightened some curves (which was already planned) using stimulus $$$$$s. Well, that project is done and those people are looking for work again.
In AZ, many of the jobs were paving, construction on Reservations, construction on Bases, grants to departments at ASU and UA. very little jobs were created or “saved”.
The thing about base construction is that it is planned and funded years before the project begins. I work for the military and the new shop we got in 2002, was actually approved by the appropriation committee in 1996.
Census workers and IRS workers. Other than that, can’t see anyone else hiring.
