An interesting article by Peggy Noonan in WSJ today, especially the first section!

Thanks for the heads up.
Yeah right. The Republicans have a reputation for kneeling down and rolling over. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was planned.
THE CONSTITUTION STATES: No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time. SO WHY DO WE NOT HAVE A REGULAR STATEMENT AND ACCOUNT OF THE RECEIPTS AND EXPENDITURES OF ALL PUBLIC MONEY PUBLISHED . . . ???
“A government may not be bound by rights which it as itself has created, but it may be bound by those rights which are considered to have been created by the ultimate sovereignty, the people, in the form of Constitutional guarantees.” Remedies of Stockholder of Parent Corporation for Injuries to Subsidiaries, © 1937 The Harvard Law Review Association.
I think that the Republicans should of pressed him harder.
I would have been challenging every comment and statistic. I would have been relentless. They were too soft.
