''An ad that uses sports to divide rather than to unite has no place in the biggest national sports event of the year -- an event designed to bring Americans together,'' yea... who would ever use sports as a medium to convey social change?

sidenote: considering who has finally made it to the playoffs, does make you wonder about whether or not the NFL has gone the way of jai-alai... kind of like the pats in 2001 after 9-11

Very well said! Hypocrisy knows no bounds here.

>> A network spokesman, Dana McClintock, said CBS would ensure that any issue-oriented ad was ‘’appropriate for air.’’
Tebow, dude, your life story might be inappropriate.

I would let loose Tiger on her.

I think CBS better be VERY careful about this. If they cancel the ad, it will cause a GIGANTIC PR fiasco that CBS cannot afford to weather, especially since it could end up affecting the other big sponsors of the Super Bowl and Super Bowl telecast.

Were these the same women who claimed the Super Bowl was the time of year when men battered women the most? That was a claim repeated over and over based on dubious data. And they want to dominate the Super Bowl? Ads are cheap enough this year, women. Buy your own.

Amen. And may he do so in burgundy and gold! Synder will pay enough to sponsor LOTS of mission trips.

Imagine that. The faux women want to put a stop to the story of Tim Tebow. A true story that may actually hurt their position.

Indeed. I suppose they’d be happy if the Tebow ad was replaced by something wholesome like a Go Daddy ad or something.

Funny. The usually lame Senior Bowl is already sold out, only because Tim Tebow is playing in it. How many games have the NOW harpies sold out this year? CBS may block this ad just because of the star power Tebow brings to the pro-life message.

I can't believe these people would be so petty as to not allow this story to be told.
*Ponders above statement*
Actually I believe it, libs are mentally deranged.

who wants to bet CBS won’t run the advert?
no way liberal MSM will ever permit an advert celebrating a family event, they’d rather show hooters commercials and janet jackson’s halftime show.
i guess some people’s money is not as green as others (no pun intended).
To: Steelfish
The ad is not going to get pulled...CBS needs any and all revenue during this garbage economy. Stuff it NOW and you abortion hogs.

The ad paid for by the conservative Christian group Focus on the Family is expected to recount the story of Pam Tebow's pregnancy in 1987 with a theme of Celebrate Family, Celebrate Life. After getting sick during a mission trip to the Philippines, she ignored a recommendation by doctors to abort her fifth child and gave birth to Tim, who went on to win the 2007 Heisman Trophy while helping his Florida team to two BCS championships.
I can see how this would scare the anti-life people to death.
A God-graced story: let it be told!

CBS seems to be standing by the ad. Let’s hope they don’t cave.

However, the Women’s Media Center remains silent on sex offender Pete Townsend performing at halftime. Nice group.
