I think those who can vote will vote their concience.
That said, one of our Socialists in Washington was up for reelection and people kept repeating that he "has seniority". To which I replied "What good is that if it is used against us? It only makes him a more powerful force to our detriment!"
McCain has been a disaster, so bad even that nice lady from Alaska couldn't drag him and his albatross daughter across the goal line. As long as people believe he represents the Right in any way (and an incredible number of people cannot wrap their head around the idea that 'Republican' does NOT equal 'Conservative'), the cause of freedom is weakened from what uninformed people consider to be within.
At least you expect a Democrat to work against you all the time and know what you are up against.
He isn't an idiot family member, you are only stuck with him as long as you vote for him.
I'm not "snapping" or "harping". I'm suggesting alternatives. Are you really going to hold my mistake of questioning your motives forever? Really? Am I suppose to agree with everything you say? Is that what you want from me? A yes man?
As we grow older and realize out mistakes. Yours was about Bush; mine was mostly about your handling of the cliques who pushed so many away.
Jim, while I once many years ago questioned your motives, I have always believed you to be a Patriot above all, and have said so many many times.
BTW, you have no idea what I have done since VetsCoR went defunct. I write and call my representatives all the time. I'm also involved in local politics. I'm also a Patriot Guard Rider. I do my small part. Not as much as you traveling around the States, but I do try. So yes, I have "turned to".
I can't believe you still hold that stupid anti-freeper crap against me. I have apologized many times for getting sucked into it. And now I say the TEA Party is a good thing, but you don't want to hear my take on State's Rights?
Again, I spent many years defending you, and yes even while questioning your finances, so what...I did the same with VetsCoR...ask Neil. I told those anti f**cks countless times I didn't believe you nor John were scammers as they claimed. Most of that was because I was pissed that you kept changing positions and let so many good capable people go, so I vented. I still said it was your board, even if I didn't agree.
I think you missed a lot of the good stuff I said about you. But not being a yes man nor part of the various ugly cliques, which you finally kick off, then I'm a bad person in your eyes.
I suppose it's time for me to just give up and you can hate me for the rest of your life as if I some Judas. Too bad, while I believe you have had many conflicting changes in your political stances (that would be the actual "back-stabbing" - hell, you thought Mojo was the cat's meow), I've always believed your belief in our Constitutional heritage to be correct, if not your party affiliation.
Shut me out if you must. I will never regain your trust, as much as I tried. If anyone ever gave me shit about my ever-changing political positions and talked shit on another board, even while defending me and my wife, I probably would forgive them if they asked. But that's just me. You're obviously a more determined person. I concede.
Saying “No” to McPain is easy for us, but it is like pulling teeth to get the people of AZ to do so. They are true McPain believers because they first chose him 24 years ago.
He was immoral when you sent him to replace Goldwater, who had also lost his bearings. What’s wrong with AZ people? I know, just like those in forty other states
We can’t stop the Kirk nomination because IL people just nominate familiar names. They can’t understand the voting records but go by the “D” and “R” labels.
I am convinced that McPain did not mind losing in 2008 at all. He wanted to be the graceful Goldwater-type loser.
It would be fun to see the look on Lindsey Graham’s face if McPain were given the boot, but Lindsey understands the people of AZ, and they truly believe in McPain.
John McCain has outstayed his political welcome. Its past time for him to go.
His MISERABLE performance as a candidate. His outrageous attacks on conservative Republicans, his continual pandering to Obama, the Democrats and the leftist media has become unbearable.
I would love to see this misanthrope go the way of Arlen Spector and get flushed down the toilette in the next election cycle in Arizona.
All you have to do is look at his daughter - the apple never falls far from the tree.
He looked all right to me.
If JD loses the primary, Do you think AZ is better off with McCain or a rat?
what’s the difference?
McCain suspended his campaign and rushed back to DC to destroy our country.
Yet Jeb just endorsed McCain...boy them Bushes is dumb.
Hi Jim,
I posted the following input on a thread from earlier today...seems to be appropriate that I post it here as well.
I received a phone call earlier today from some group doing polling about my likelihood of voting for John McCain in the Arizona Primary. I told the lady on the phone that I’d rather shovel birds*** out of a cuckoo clock than vote for McCain. When she asked my how likely am I to vote in the Primary I told her that I’ll be there for sure. She was pretty startled by my input and quickly said thank you and hung up!
Roberts, Alito, the surge, Palin, earmarks, and the vote for Senate leader.
Yup to all the above.
As did all but 15 Republican Senators. Should we purge Coburn, Thune, and Burr for voting for the bailout?
McCain-Feingold, McCain-Leiberman, McCain-Kennedy, Gang of 14.
Yup! Traitors all. Vote them ALL OUT!!
