On the morning drive in I was listening to our local AM Talker WSBA. Peg Luksik was on.

He may even try to go back to the GOP if he is beaten in the Democrat Primary!

This just made me think. Specter has voted in lock-step with the Democrats in the Senate since switching parties. I guess he wasn’t as independent thinking as he claimed. The party really needs to stop tolerating these rinos.

Specter switched because he knew he would get creamed by Toomey in the primary. It would be schadenfreude if he got creamed by Toomey in the general.
Prediction: Toomey beats any Dem challenger by 6+ points.
PA is no MA and without a "brother" to come out and vote for, turnout in Philly and Pittsburgh is going to be very light. I don't think that Rendell can even whip those cities into submission. A visit by Obama would be the kiss of death for Specter or Sestak.
Toomey has the message voters want to hear right now - cutting taxes and spurring economic growth - that's his forte and always has been.
