just a side thought.. I can see the court cases where arguments are made over was it a mud or a debris slide, was it soupy enough to be covered as a flood or torrent? one can never have enough lawyers yaknow to battle the ‘evil’ insurance companies. ;-)

It is all about funding the emergency workers...I heard the news say last night that there would be no Caltrans snow plows on Friday because of furloughs. What drivel!

I had to change “is” on it to “was” because that was from Monday. They were very very concerned about homeless encampments in L.A. and whether or not they’d survive the incoming rainfall. I just thought it was amusing.. sorry

Oh I’m always amused by the nutcase foaming at the mouth over the dumbest things. Case in point... a three story unreinforced brick building partially collapsed on to the building next door during our recent 6.5 EQ and the “preservationist” screaming at the owner to save it in all it’s destructive glory so it could really kill someone.

Ir looked like Bakersfield was getting hammered big time about a hour ago?
