“The Knack” deserve a special place in rock history for helping to put to an end the monstrosity that was the “disco era.”

Ironically Doug’s brother was Dr Kervorkian’s lawyer.

This just makes me feel sad and old. Prayers for his health.

They set the stage for some of the great “power pop” tunes from the 80s.

Yep, his brother is lawyer Jeffrey Fieger. Greta has him on a lot of her panels.

My Sharona still rocks to this day. Just good old-fashioned good time rock and roll.

Al yankovic wrote and sang “my Bologna”.

I always liked “Good Girls Don't”, the version they didn't play on the radio.
Prayers for Doug Fieger and his family.

My Sharona still rocks to this day. Just good old-fashioned good time rock and roll. Roger that. My highschool girlfriend, the girl that mercilessly stole my virginity... :-) she spent a year overseas as an exchange student in London. She came back with a 45rpm record that she just craved. That's right, it was "My Sharona" by this band called "The Knack". This was long before it had ever gotten any airplay here in the U.S. The Knack wasn't here yet. But it was a great song. It was obvious that it would be a big, big hit.
Dang... that was a nice trip down memory lane. Thanks, Jan. Wherever you are.
