Even the words the president used in his press conference Dec. 28 suggest how clueless he is. He described Abdulmutallab as a "passenger (who) allegedly tried to ignite an explosive device," repeatedly referring to Abdulmutallab in his comments as a "suspect." These are the weasel words we use when talking about ordinary criminals, which is no accident. The Obama administration’s anti-terrorism philosophy is to treat terrorist attacks like criminal actions, not acts of war.

Recall that Obama exercised no such restraint in blaming Sgt. Cowley in the Gates incident. Rather telling that he gives a demonstrated Nigerian terrorist more leeway than a good American cop.

I tend to agree with you that Obama has an un-American agenda he is pursuing.

His trouble is, he is not competent to do either good or bad for America. The man has the leadership skills of Barney Fife, & the upbringing, economic skills, & political indoctrination of Robert Mugabe. I suspect his determination & courage are lacking, too, but only time & circumstance will prove this.

If the Rats lose Congress & their filibuster proof Senate THIS YEAR, I wouldn't be surprised to see Obama ACT almost conservative. Purely to get reelected in ‘12, of course, & have some remaining relevance until then.

Heck, he's not very relevant now. Our enemies are amused at him, at best. Health care reform should more rightly be called Reid/Pelosi Care than Obamacare, & may not pass in any form - nothing to sign, here. Copenhagen was a bust. The WOT, his Gitmo plans, & his civilian trials for terrorists are all going badly for him. The economy is NOT getting better, despite Hope & Change. Failure is his greatest accomplishment.

I am praying for a Democratic bloodbath in November followed by impeachment.

Napolitano and Obama probably just put you on the "right-wing extreme terrorist" watch list.

I have often thought about that and how I would have reacted when forced with that kind of news in a roomful of blissfully, innocent little ones.

And every time I see that clip of Bush just kind of tightening up his lips and staying calm with that horror being whispered in his ear, I truly admire him as a quiet and humble leader.

There’s a lot to be said for humility in a man-especially one who has control of the most powerful country at his fingertips.
It is a quality Obama has never even rubbed up against...

I'm with you on this. My reaction at work made some of my coworkers blanch. Along the lines of 'who ever did it, who ever helped, any country that helped, any country that knew, KILL THEM ALL!'. I would have caused the wee ones at the school nightmares for months. LOL

Hope I can sleep tonite! You scared me ;^)

I just remember the tears streaming down my face and my mouth hanging open; I was just thinking who? why? how could they kill innocent people? I was at home, but would have lost it anywhere...

And I’m sure Bush knew ALL of those facts immediately, but Obama, even if he knew, he wouldn’t care. He’s so cold. His first thought would be about himself.

(BTW-”kill them all” IS the correct response!)

Most of us have probably been there for years. The good news is that snarky little second amendment prevents them from going the whole distance.
