No offense, but whether she fits YOUR mold or not, she is going to be the next President, IMHO

Ummmm, the problem with Riley is nobody’s heard of him. He will have the same problem that Duncan Hunter had.....no notoriety and a small following. Not a winning combination.

I enjoy living in he heart of the city.
Some like the burbs, etc. where it is slower.

Palin is a celebrity cult politician with questionable executive ability.

Before the liberal media was finally forced to start covering her, Palin was already the most popular Governor in America and was known as an aggressive, reforming executive, she was already being discussed in conservative and republican circles and media.

They are both slow and mellow and the freeways aren’t that bad, that is why I liked it here and still like it compared to how busy some larger cities can get.

If she doesn’t choose Marc Racicot, (fmr Montana Governor, and all-around likeable guy) as her running mate, he would make an absolutely STELLAR US AG, in my honest opinion.

I have met him several times at GOP events and he is very personable and articulate...

Governor Racicot (pronounced ‘Ross-’-ko) served in the US Army achieving the rank of Captain and working as an Army JAG prosecutor. After completing his stint in the military, he also served as a deputy prosecutor, and DA in Montana for years and is well-known, well-liked and highly regarded (in professional terms) in law enforcement circles.

Racicot is a member of a large Catholic family, a star athlete and achiever in school years, is a long married father to several children himself, and a staunchly pro-life, big ‘C’ Conservative.

Given free rein, I believe he would go after those corrupt fools with a vengeance.

A.A.C.

I have to agree with ansel, the freeways are soo much better here than, say, NOR CAL.

Sacramento is bad as there are too few ways to get from point A to point B. We have several to choose from to get from me, in the burbs, to you, downtown. 20 mins, non rush hour :) but then, you already know this....heh.

Bob Riley is virtually unknown outside Alabama. And he hurt himself by proposing the biggest bundle of tax increases in state history, which were defeated in a statewide vote.

Thank you, Will88.

It is definitely a big city but it wears it well, not as well as in the mid 1970s when I thought that I had found the perfect match of size and population, but it still isn’t a nightmare here by any means.

In some cities you do not venture out during rush hour, but here having to drive across the city during the rush hour is not such a big deal.

Did she or did she not resign the office that the people of Alaska had elected her to? And for what?

You show your ignorance and lack of reading comprehension when you ask that question. You already know the answer as it has been given here time and time again. When you (purposely) ignore the answer, it makes you ignorant.

To 56 - Good for Barbour. Let him run, and we’ll watch Palin kick his arse in the primaries. :^)

Not to mention we need a strong NEW Senate MAJORITY leader to hit the ground running at 12:01 pm, 01/20/2013 when we hear the words: “I, Sarah Heath Palin, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

And it's not ignorance to say that Haley Barbour would be far and away a better head of the ticket than Palin.

Not with that old white guy hair.

On historical precedent the last time the bad hair guy won a non-incumbency presidential election was Martin van Buren in 1836 (And he was defeated by an opponent with better hair in 1840)

On historical precedent, the Republicans should have run Mitt Romney in 2008.

Well sicne all of them were dismissed that is why everyone knows they were frivious. I think you list sucks and I couldn’t see a single one of them carrying the rustbelt nor Ohio. To keep Obama from reelection we need a star with a name not someone who is starting out from behind who is an unknown. Sarah didn’t set that system up in Alaska with the oil profit sharing that was done years before she became governor.

Lets not forget Barbour is tied to the DC elite and You conveniently forget to mention his stint as RNC Chairman. In the political environment of the day Barbour won’t get past the Iowa.
