Which one is Dave?
Dave is preaching to the choir.
Heck, I haven’t watched his show in years and years.
Perhaps he’s just wearing his shoes too tightly?
Aversion therapy is a psychiatric method of associating a behavior with unpleasant (sometimes very unpleasant) images, sensations, scents and etcetera, in order to create an aversion to that behavior.
It’s also the basis for some of the more effective political agitprop. Think Goldwater, a little girl and a nuclear explosion. Associate blood and gore with a person, repetitively, and the image rises unbidden whenever that person is seen or mentioned, to those conditioned by the repetitive, unpleasant association.
Just why David Letterman felt the need to subject his own viewers, presumably just too darned intelligent to be susceptible to the wiley siren call of Sarah Palin, to psychiatric manipulation, is another question entirely.
I suspect more than just a small degree of self is involved, as far as he is concerned, a brief, hellish autobiographical moment disguised as a two minute hate. Like flagellants thrashing themselves bloody to mortify their flesh, David Letterman just can’t get her out of his mind, it’s driving him batty, and he’s externalized his torment in the form of fears for the purity of his poor little acolytes.
Sort of sad, really, a formerly well-liked comedian and talkshow host, laying himself bare in such a highly public and embarassing manner.
Sarah Palin’s Facebook threads attract tons of libturds that spew hate and vile commentary. Like moths being drawn to a flame, they can’t get enough of her.
As for Letterman, he can’t get enough of her either. He’s as vile as they get.

I don’t believe that. I think all humor is rooted in truth. Which is why he isn’t funny, particularly when he (or any other leftist) is attempting to make fun of Governor Palin. They make stuff up, and then try to turn that into a joke. That’s why her joke about herself, the difference between a pitbull and a hockeymom: lipstick, was funny. As beautiful of a woman as she is, you know not to mess with her!
David Letterman is a puke.
I have no idea what his intentions are. What I do know is I have a conscious aversion to David Letterman and have not watched his show since his attacks on Sarah.

Letterman is one bitter b!tch. Even Scrooge didn’t bang all his employees and make sport of it on national TeeVee. I think we all know exactly what Letterman isn’t getting any of for Christmas.

Letterman’s response sounds like someone who is terrified of Palin and her views. Christian views vs evil.

May his ratings drop as low as his morals or as high as the IQ of his writers.
I was watching his show the first night after Governor Sarah was announced as VP candidate. Letterman went GAGA over her beauty and her resume and went on about he had to have her on the show right away. He was infatuated with her.
Then she said no to going on his show and he’s been highly PI$$ED since and holds a grudge forever.
These writers probably think that all conservatives are “haters”.
He’s also jealous beyond belief because according to sources, they DID try to get Sarah Palin to come on the show (because she’s been a ratings bonanza for TV). Instead, she did Conan O’Brien’s show and the ratings went way, way up.
Bitter much, Dave? Did you REALLY think the lady ignores her principles because you want to let bygones be bygones?
