I wasn't defending Kaganovich and Yagoda, I was just stating the obvious: that Lenin and later Stalin, two men who were baptized as Christians, were the real demons in charge. Their Christian background is not exactly an important bit of information -- both men, like Kaganovich and Yagoda, had become atheists long before the October Revolution -- but it takes on a certain significance when de-bunking anti-semitic nonsense like "da joooz" being responsible for the Ukrainian terror-famine.

Let's see. Stalin ordered Yagoda and Kaganovich to kill Ukrainians. Yagoda and Kaganovich then ordered their underlings to actually carry out the killings. Yet somehow both Stalin and the underlings are innocent and Yagoda and Kaganovich alone are guilty for everything that happened. I guess it's all the fault of that evil, nasty Talmud.
