Will Sheets Byrd make it? I doubt it at his age and not feeling too well.
Scary trip. Glad you got to your destination safely.
“God has a sense of humor alright!”
In literature it is called a “tragicomedia.”
Yes. Byrd was there this am at 1 in the morning. Voting for something, then saying “Shame, shame” to the Republicans.
Maybe he’s stil there. They might be holding him prisoner.
His mistress must be in town ... ho, ho, HO!
Baucus: Dems will work Christmas Day to pass healthcare bill
You’ve checked on elderly neighbors. Sweet you. That’s no thoughtful and kind. I’m glad to hear you’re anticipating dry snow. I guess you aren’t experiencing winds of any force. It’s the wind that knocks out our power. The old trees fall over like tooth picks. Of course, we rarely get any measureable snow.
I hope Reid the ideologue will adjourn.
Gads, thank you. That buzzard certainly has a lot of strength. On some level, good for him. I have to admire that.
I’m sorry for that unfortunate typo - I meant to type “that’s SO thoughtful and kind”.
I don’t think Joe will travel on the Sabbath (tonight) and all flights into DC have already been cancelled for tomorrow.
Hee hee
See posts 46 and 53.
Rove, you magnificient bastard, you!
Well, Ho ho ho, maybe Baucus spoke too soon; i.e. BEFORE the storm. That article is dated December 16...lol. Myabe he can go home to his mistress and let healthcare wait, ya think?
:)
You’re going to get hammered by daybreak. Stay warm and enjoy the irony of all the airports being closed soon.
“I dont think Joe will travel on the Sabbath (tonight) and all flights into DC have already been cancelled for tomorrow.”
They probably have some way to get him in. They will stop at nothing to get him in if they need his vote. They MUST give Obama healthcare within his first year.
Per weather.com, it has already started snowing in DC, about 3 hrs ahead of forecast.
Can anyone confirm that Reid let the senators go home tonight?
Does anyone know what time the Sabbath ends on Saturday? Joe won’t be going anywhere near DC unless he leaves CT by midnight.
It may even be “unexpected.”
Sunset tomorrow.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - A heavy snow storm moving toward the D.C. area could produce snow of between 10-20 inches this weekend, with the potential for more to fall further to the south and west.
FOX 5’s Sue Palka says the storm already beginning to fall in many areas. She says it will stick early, and by Saturday morning some areas could have between 3 and 4 inches on the ground.
According to Palka, the roads are already cold and will become slippery very quickly, so you’re urged to stay off the roads as much as possible.
The FOX 5 Weather Team predicts between 10 and 20 inches of snow will fall in and around the District, and between 1 and 2 feet are possible to the south and west. Palka says the bulk of the snow will fall on Saturday.

Thank you. My stupidity.
I’m at the computer trying to get sleepy. Nothing seems to be working other than I’m missing a lot of great photos and comments. Actually, Sen. Bryd is looking good in that photo.
Do not misunderstand me...I do not wish him ill...although I did call him “Sheets Byrd.” That was a tad nasty of me. Please forgive.
Thank you again.
NO problem.
:)
