Ah, great question. I saw on another thread that the military was telling the congresscritters to get out of Copenhagen several hours earlier than planned or risk not being able to get back to DC.

MUUUAAAHHHH

Is Obambi even back?

Poor old bastard.

Medium snow but already a couple of inches. Since it’s usually not below freezing normally the snow doesn’t stick for several hours. This stuff is sticking.

My 6 year old hasn’t ever seen more than 2 inches. He is VERY excited.
George Allen used to live across the street and he would just stay at the Capitol in weather like this...

Hi my friend...good hearing from you.

How about the next hurricane? His last name begins with “B.” I don’t remember whether it is a “she” or a “he” name next year. (What a piece of CP crap.) If it is a “she” next year, it can be called “Byrdie.”

I tried to find if someone was tweeting realtime from the floor, but didn’t really find anything.

I’m following @Senate_GOPs just in case.

Are the airports open? How long does it take them to clear the runways down there?

I’m thinking Pelosi and her entourage are leaving Copenhagen about now and will be in DC by about 6 p.m.

How many Senators went over there?

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/44/2009/12/lieberman-wont-have-to-trudge.html

But Republicans have given Lieberman the necessary assurances that they will allow him to be with his family.”After being assured by Democratic and Republican leaders that his vote was not needed to pass the Defense Appropriations bill, Senator Lieberman went to Connecticut to spend the Sabbath and the last night of Hanukkah with his wife, Hadassah, and their children and grandchildren,” Marshall Wittman, Lieberman’s spokesman, said Friday.

However, Democrats could be in an odd jam if the storm turns worse than expected and airports remain closed through Sunday, since Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) hopes to hold the first key test vote on health-care legislation by 1 a.m. Monday.

Oh, GOOD on you. Thanks.

I wonder where they are. Hmmm.

Greta might be live. She’s going to talk about the storm.

I read the airports are closed and all flights are already cancelled. But, I could be wrong.

Well, I am worried for all the ordinary folks out there who have started on their Christmas journey home.

I have a granddaughter flying from San Francisco to Philly tomorrow a.m. Another sweet g-daughter driving home from Winchester VA to Memphis...over those scary mountains. I hope she will postpone her trip until Monday.

Guess I know what I will be praying about in my night prayers.

Will the trains still run? Amtrak takes about 5 hours from Connecticut.

I’ll need some of your warm Panama weather tomorrow to melt all this snow that is starting to fall here in Southern Delaware.

But if the snow keeps Joe home, and strands Kerry elsewhere, let it snow. let it snow, let it snow!

Panama is starting to look better every day. Can’t believe my country is turning into this mess. But I can’t give up yet.

I just read Glenn Beck’s Common Sense, and it contains Thomas Paine’s Common Sense pamphlets, which had never read, from early 1776. How prescient Paine was, and what an excellent defense for independence he made!

He certainly lit a fire— and in a day of no cell phones, faxes, texting, internet or cable TV!

That whole generation must be spinning in their graves looking at the Worst Congress Ever in action.

Thank you for your post to me.¨

We are having our yearly weather transition right now. We are leaving behind 9 months of rainy season and going into the dry season for 3 months.

I prefer the rainy season because the clouds act as parasols against the hot sun. When it rains, the rain is not cold so umbrellas are forgotten and left in the car or at home. Running around wet is part of life here.

Panama is a fantastic place to live. As a U.S. citizen, I realized a few months ago, I never intend to return to the U.S. Sitting here looking from the outside in, the U.S. has been in a political mess for years and getting worse. The congresscrooks are taking away our liberties and stealing our money. For example, everything seems to require a “permit” for something, and that permit costs money. I am amazed folks have to have a “permit” to hold an outdoor rally. That happens to be free speech. There are so many, many laws regulating peoples’ lives in the States.

I have not read Glenn Beck’s Common Sense. I plan to purchase it as soon as it hits Panama.
