Fact: It was a merger. They did a stock swap, and MDD management got a privileged position, and Boeing got to keep its name. Whoopee.

Thanks. It was Loral that I could not remember, and I forgot that a Hughes corp. subsidiary was involved as well. I mostly remembered that the science/technology info that China gained from it was said, at the time, to advance China’s missile efforts by ten years.
