One of these unpleasant truths is that feminism hasnt quite delivered on its promises at least in the realm of romantic relationships.Oh, ha-ha. Like feminism has delivered on ANY of its promises.

Old me: I'm looking for a few hot women to help me disprove this. I have a hot tub, a river view, and i promise to cook.
Reformed (?) me: I'm looking for a hot woman to help me disprove this. I have a hot tub, a river view, and i promise to cook.
Person I'm trying to be: I'm looking for a hot girl friend. I have a hot tub, a river view, and i promise to cook. I can put up with "Desperate Housewives".
No fatty's or STDs.

"empowered woman." Not a woman with gutter self-esteem and daddy issues.
I used to be involved in the east coast rock scene when friends from school introduced me to their musician friends. I never considered myself a groupie since I didn't sleep with any of the guys - I just considered them friends and they considered me "cool" enough to let me hang around because I loved their music and kept my mouth shut about their activities. But I have seen things that left me just shaking my head. And I can tell you this from my direct observations: it always ends up with the girl getting the short end of the stick (so to speak). Once she sleeps with the guy, no matter how "evolved" and "postmodern" she likes to pretend she is, she always ends up thinking she's going to be the one to change him. I've seen plenty of Samanthas go into the hotel room, but they always come out thinking they are going to be the next Mrs. Cleaver.
