His stench has been bad for a while now, not just recently. Huck is deader than a door nail.

Perhaps to you he is. Regardless of that he is not interesting in running.

The three easiest way for a used car salesman to gain power
is to become a preacher, a politician or get a TV show.

Because, at least right now, he is the Democrats' favorite Republican (much as McCain was). He'll be kept alive to cause as much discord in the Republican party as possible.

Then why post the article?

Reading this Huck lover’s blatantly dishonest spin makes me despise the Huckster even more—if that’s even possible. I haven’t heard such such outrageous parsing of words and rank and obvious manipulations of reality since the last time Bill Clinton opened his mouth.

Huckabee is not well grounded in economics, IMHO.

This is why Huckabee will NOT be my first choice.

Perhaps Huck had little to do with the current shootings, as his involvement with this case was several years ago, and several incarcerations ago, I believe.

However, it IS true that Huckabee gave LOTS of pardons and LOTS of commuted sentences.

This will hurt Huckabee.

Politics Ain't bean bag.

Politics is rarely fair.

Not a Huckster fan but there is plenty of blame to go around. However I do think his presidential aspirations are on the embalming table having the life sucked out of them.

Agreed, and even if it were completely unjustified Huckabee is going to be tied to this killer forever. And his “not my fault” initial statement was dreadful. If all you seek to do with your statement is shift blame please don’t make a statement.

And this writer is very silly if he thinks the Huckabee pardon issue can be discussed without mentioning the other felon who was released on his watch and went on to kill at least one, possibley two, women in Missouri. In that case he was released provided he leave the state of Arkansas. If you are letting a guy out and he is so bad you don’t want him to live in your entire state you should probably just keep him locked up.

Huckabee is most definately done. Janet Reno will be president before he is.

Perception is Reality.

In addition to Huckster being a liberal RINO, this puts the dagger into any future political plans. Thankfully!

Mike Huckabee had zero to do with the deaths this past week of four Seattle police officers.

I stopped reading there.

The fact of the matter is that the whole chain of events started at his desk.

Primary Documents: Mike Huckabee's Letter to Prosecutor Objecting to His Easy-Breezy Clemencies: LOL, Dude

This is the reputation Huckabee has earned for himself, on the subject of clemencies; and (more precisely) HOW he managed to do so.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

And the Democrats will keep this Clemmons fiasco in their ammo belt until the maximum damage can be inflicted with it.

I actually applaud Huckabee for being honest and coming out and saying how sorry he was that he had pardoned that insane asshole. Of course, Huckabee shouldn’t have pardoned him in the first place. Memo to all republican governors: do not pardon any child rapists, child murderers, or any murderers in general.

The judges in Washington State had all of Clemmons' history to judge in making their decision.

But did Huckabee before the commutation? I hope not because Clemmons history of violence is well documented. His threatening a judge with violence, intimidating witnesses, trying to take the gun of a court official, etc... If Huckabee knew about these events, which happened before the 2000 commutation, then Huckabee deserves much blame. He created the scenario where Clemmons was able to get parole.
