Yeah, your Big Tent candidate really brought home the bacon last November, didn’t he?

..and its not like we’re using a knife to cut them out, we’re asking the rest of the body whether they want the cancer around and democratically voting them out. If the body don’t want it who are the outsiders to say they have to be around

About Thomas Frank

Frank comes from a leftist political perspective and is highly critical of Republican governance, especially the presidency of George W. Bush. However, he has also criticized the Democratic Party for "swearing off economic 'liberalism'"[1]. He is unique among writers on the American Left both for his political outlook, which revives the discourses of the American Populist Movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, [2] and for his polemical style, which has been said to update that of the muckrakers of the same historical era [3].

Frank is the founder and editor of The Baffler and the author of several books, most recently The Wrecking Crew: How Conservatives Rule. Other writings include essays for Harper's Magazine, Le Monde diplomatique, Bookforum, and the Financial Times. His book What's the Matter with Kansas?, published in 2004, earned him nationwide and international recognition.

It makes absolutely no sense. The are parts of the country where Social Conservative cannot win. In those ares you need to have moderate Republicans run. Yes, they may be pro-choice or pro-gay marriage, but at the same time, there are a lot of Republicans that are tha way as well. Are you willing to get rid of Republicans who are socially moderate or liberal? If so, like I said, get ready for a lifetime of Democratic control of Congress.

Not sure if you are commenting about McCain, but I didn’t vote for him. I voted for Barr. Sure, he didn’t come close to getting any delegates, but I certainly know I know I didn’t vote for a bad candidate (ie McCain or Obama).

What is America, or any Nation actually without debate?

RINO’s are Leftists. Other Political Party’s are available for Leftists. The primary Leftist Party today is the Democrat Party. That is where Leftists belong, NOT in the Republican Party.

If the Republican Party continues to accept, and promote the “BIG TENT” direction, the “Reach across the aisle” business, of which btw the Democrats, Leftists do not reciprocate, then there will be only the Leftist perspective in our governance. There will be no debate, which is what makes our Republic unique, and successfully so.

The RINO’s must be sent scurrying back across the aisle to warm their own bench. Clean out the Leftists from the Republican Party, or lose this country for many a year to come.

If we lose our country to the Leftists due weakness to react appropriately, I wonder how many millions here, and around the World dependent upon the U.S., and our freedom will eventually die because of our weakness.

We play fair, the Leftists don’t.

On some issues, others I am Conservative. Personally, I will not vote for a social conservative and chose to use my vote on fiscal conservatives.

Purge Trial = Primary Election

That’s the way the system works.

Which is it are you a fool or a fraud?

Neither. I'm sarcastically responding specifically to the article's author. Am I critical of the many in the Republican Party? Absolutely. Will I continue to supoport conservative Republicans? Absolutley. Will I support liberal/moderate Republicans? No. Nor will I be convinced that I must be a party-first devotee. Sorry. I think my stand is fairly clear and one I'm entitled to. What is more, I believe the owner of this site feels stronger than I do on this subject....so, if I'm a fraud....then....

I loved his radio spots where he would play counter-point to Ted Kennedy and respectfully “disagree” on the issues of the day. Better than nine times out of ten, he agreed with Teddy that there had to be a big-government, money-spending solution to a marginal “problem” facing the country. The sparks of disagreement were over how much it would cost and how it was gonna be funded.

From the article:
Conservative economic doctrine, put into effect by conservatives in Congress and the White House, is largely and obviously responsible for last year's financial crisis. Indeed, in my lifetime there has never been a more direct causal connection between ideology and catastrophe.

Thomas Frank is one ultra-dense idiot if he believes conservatives had anything to do with this economic catastrophe. There have been very few conservatives in congress or the senate in recent years, even when the Republicans held the majority in both houses.

Outsouring American manufacturing and jobs to out enemies is not conservative. Fomenting an invasion of illegal aliens is not conservative. Importing 140,000 visa workers per month to displace American citizens is not conservative. Manipulating markets to the detriment of American citizens and calling it Free Trade is not conservative.

All these actions and more are the behaviors of the global socialist neo-con RINOs and their soulmates, the communist Democrats.

Conservative means conserving, protecting and defending the US Constitution, bearing true faith and allegiance to the same, against all enemies foreign and domestic.

Excluding them from committee chairmanships? Just who does he think led the Judicial Committee for Republicans in the Senate. It sure wasn’t Jeff sessions. It was the traitor in RINO cloth who is now a Democrat.

So you voted to end all immigration laws, fire the Border Patrol and INS, and to implement the gay power agenda, you aren’t exactly what most of us think of as conservative, but let me guess, you do like the Conservatives economic policies.

Not really, most of those types are already liberal democrats, the top indicator for Republican voters is church attendance.
