Threw it away, or the dog ate it?

Without the original raw data, the entire anthropogenic climate theory is worthless. It can neither be disproved or proven. And its very likely the former since science depends on being to replicate experimental findings to verify their validity and safeguard against fraud and data manipulation to advance a favored theory.

"They can’t reconstruct the original data because the original data was on paper and input (from one site) into a spreadsheet. (Excel? We spent billions of dollars for KRAP on a spreadshet? & we’re going to improverish our kids based on such incompetent information?)"

The way you determine something is a fraud is if the solution posited requires a substantial loss of your wealth and liberty by the government.

"Sounds like they got caught with, "An Inconvenient Truth."

“Value added” source data? Somebody has missed his calling - the originator of that howler should be in a marketing department somewhere selling soap.

IMHO everything they did is tainted because they would not allow any of it to be studied by anyone else except their little group who was manipulating the data to reach a predetermined goal. It is all garbage and should be ignored.

I was somewhat involved in saving data back in the early 1970s. We used "tape" because disk/drum technology was expensive.

Apparently these people never bothered recording the information on tape!

That is inconceivable unless the GRU crowd are just a clown show of some kind.

“Value added data...” - you can’t make this stuff up.

I must have slept through the class describing that type of data. Oh...wait...it’s coming back to me...I think it was also called “fudged”.

I have to provide analytical reports for a business and I have to be ready at a moment’s notice to defend their findings using the original source data and a detailed description of the methodologies used to come to those conclusions. This data HAS to be made available to others. I don’t think that this is an unusual practice in the business world.

I was under he impression that the scientific community had an even higher standard of rigor.

BTW, CPM gave us the first practical electronic spreadsheets. I think these guys are telling us they entered the input somewhere ~ punch cards perhaps ~ then processed it according to a currently still secret program ~ then printed out a spreadsheet (on one page no doubt)!

Look, I said the other day these guys were like Jim and Tammy when they were raising money for Kevin's House. They said that unless you gave money for this one kid who just happened to be one of Jim's cousins then you were not a good Christian.

Always wondered what happened to the support staff for that show ~ and I have a sick feeling that I know where they went!

Hmmm....

ACORN dumps data. CRU dumps data.

Must be tough to be a socialist these days, having to keep your finger on the self-destruct button all the time.

So much for the much ballyhooed AWG movement. It is quickly turning out to be a fraud on the scale of 0bama’s past and his ineligibility for office.

It would be nice to algore gored in the media, but that ain’t happenin’ either...

I was introduced to the Egyptian Variable in Seventh Grade ~ that's the number you use to multiply your own answer so that you get the right answer.

And these guys are telling us they no longer know or understand their Egyptian Variables?

That is inconceivable unless the GRU crowd are just a clown show of some kind.

Not just a clown show but an entire circus; and I thought tickets to Circ De Soleil were expensive!!!

As much as I hate to say it, I doubt the entire global warming crowd is even greatly harmed by the release of the emails etc. With trillions of dollars in jeopardy there is no way those set up to profit are going to give up.
