He’s just a brain-fried puppet anyway. Does it matter? This guy couldn’t be a more false leader, ill-prepared poseur as it is.
To: mplsconservative
Meant to say, as he is.
To: Steelfish
I wonder if our august VP shared stories about his trips to the 7-11 with the Indian PM?

Barf.
Listening to Coast to Coast. George talking to Richard C. Hoglan (sp?) was speaking about Obama’s world tour. (I can tell Richard loves Obama). How this Administration is going to make a big announcement about space, because Obama made a toast to “the universe”.
No Richard, IMHO, he toasted to a one world govt.
Richard C. also compared Obama’s commitment to space, to rival Kennedy’s.
Those that literally slobber over the Obamas turn my stomach.

Nothing screams (or, uh, emits?) glamour and class like a wall of porta-potties, I always say...

I despise almost everything Obama is doing, but I give him a lot of credit for seeing the strategic, economic, and cultural opportunities of closer relations with India, and warming to them.
I'm sure this event, like the Diwali White House celebration, will be greatly appreciated in India.
To: machogirl
Remember how the Reagans, particularly Nancy, were criticized for “ostentatious displays of excess” like her designer gowns?
To: mplsconservative
The Kennedy’s put on lavish and posh events as have others who were residents of the WH. I recall the Reagans being particularly stylish as well. But they caught hell for everything they did.
To: SoCal Pubbie
I do remember and Nancy was beautiful in them!

Does the article say why the guests are eating under tents in the rain instead of in the White House like other guests? The size of the crowd may be the reason, but tents are traditional for celebrations in India. They might have had that in mind. In any case, I imagine the Indian guests will not feel slighted by being outdoors, even if it's cold.

Hoglan is a retarded PUTZ. He’s like the annoying science geek kid in Jr High who really never knew what he was talking about. Fart Bell brings him on when he cant find anyone more interesting to fill air time.

Right on! US & India have a lot of common interests, starting with #1 largest and #1 oldest democracies in the world. India has a grown up leadership, stable gov’t since inception in 1947 with nary a military coup. The Indians have finally discovered the benefits of capitalism after languishing in poverty for decades under Nehru & Gandhi’s socialistic model of gov’t.

When I was very young and growing up in India, my dad was an official with a Maharaja and yes the Royal tents were huge and deluxe. A big tent was a must to accommodate large dinner parties.

Not until you've been in the company of women who are this incredibly beautiful -
- and then attempt "close proximity" after they have consumed a meal heavily laced with turmeric, cardomom, garlic and fennugeek.
