Did they? I should go and check. Green shoots anyone? Remember that was freaking March-April when they were claiming that outright lie.

Another responded to me by noting Mark Levin said we live in a Judicial tyranny. The political crisis has to be bad enough that Congressional elections include a significant cohort with enough guts to at least introduce bills of empeachment.

Right now quoting the Constitution and the Federalist Papers places you with the right-wing fringe of terror suspects. Remember when Obama’s Department of Homeland Security issued an alert to federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement officials titled Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment. Among profiling characteristics defining potential rightwing terrorist recruits are those holding beliefs to reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or to reject government authority entirely over areas of life.

Governor Rick Perry of Texas supports their HCR-50, which says Texas claims sovereignty to all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution. He joined potential subversives in 32 other states, which had passed or are considering similar resolutions.

Elections have consequences. I hope the "send 'em a message" crowd of a couple of years ago realizes the effects of not getting the next SCOTUS appointment. We only have four conservatives on the Court. Kennedy has caught the legacy disease and is now playing to the law school and media crowd instead of applying the Constitution. The decisions you cite were ridiculous, not at all rooted in the Constitution or what until then had been settled law.

You have to give the left their due. They realized what was at stake with Bork and for twenty years have held off getting a conservative majority on the Court.

It is sad to realize that quoting the Constitution and the Federalist Papers now places you in the lunatic fringe.
