I’ve already heard the pied piper song of “don’t worry, it’ll never pass” far too many damn times on this site. I’m done living with my head in the sand. How’s that for the power of positive thinking?

“Ok. History is being made by the few nitwit commies in DC as we speak. I get that. However....how, exactly, are we ever going to “make history” if we have been out maneuvered by the con-men/DemocRat thugs.

If we are outnumbered by 20 to 40 million DemocRat voters in elections, we have no way to get representation ever again.

If I’m wrong, PLEASE....correct me and convince me. I would LOVE to be wrong here. I could use the positive outlook right about now”

Obama is now under 50% approval. Just barely over 20% of voters identify as Republicans, less than 30% identify as Democrats and those that consider themselves “conservative” now outnumber “liberals”. Obama’s dropping numbers mean independents are swinging right again and this occurred in less than 12 months.

The real power lies with these independents and we are getting them back but we have to be smart about it when we get them back. People like Hoffman in NY cannot be our standard when it comes to candidates we field in places like the coasts and the southwest....midwest, maybe, south, definitely. We DO have to moderate a little bit and listen to people like Newt and the GOP chair or we will NEVER get a majority again.

So if we can swallow a few sour pills of the RINOs in order to get 75% of the conservative agenda through and more importantly, stop 100% of the liberal agenda, then there is DEFINITELY hope. But everytime I bring up this point, half of FR stops on my head.

“Yeah, but back then, the founding fathers ONLY had to worry about the enemy without. The enemy within has now taken over and is driving us over the cliff at warp speed, all in the name of grabbing communist-style power. The founding fathers would have been stunned if they had had to deal with what we’re facing. There probably are no words for what they would have thought about what’s going on now.”

There are tons of great books on the Philadelphia Convention of 1787 and lots on Madison’s notes taken during the convention. I think you would be stunned at what they faced that summer.

Among the attendees there were monarchists, most were against pure democracy and “settled”
for the electoral college compromise, slavery was guaranteed in the final draft as a compromise with the south, there were various levels of mindsets that would later be defined as socialist and on and on. There were LOTS of enemies within. Damn near every delegation at the convention wanted to punch members of other state delegations in the face and probably would have if Washington wasn’t in the room.

There were just as many differing opinions and nasty political battles then as there are now. Human nature has been amazingly static when it comes to politics since the earliest comprehensive political history books that we have such as Titus Livius’ writings regarding the early History of Rome.

“Everything is now treated with absolute hysteria and utter doom and gloom on this forum.”

I see that too and it is unnerving as hell. Do people have such a short memory and not remember 1994? Clinton was effectively neutered and even went to the right and signed lots of Republican sponsored legislation from 1994 to 2000. The same CAN happen again and the trends are in the Republican’s favor.

The recent governor races won, a recent poll showing people now idenitfy themselves as conservative more than liberal, Obama dipping below 50, etc. We just have to learn how to play politics again instead pulling out the crazy sky is falling mentalities.

Show the voters that conservatives have ideas and are serious people and not nutty. I am ready for the bonks on the head so here I go. These people need to be ousted from any and all affiliation with the Republican party: Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, some (not all) radio hosts and people holding the nutjob signs at rallies.

We need more people running the party like Newt Gingrich, a new Bill Buckley, candidates like GHW Bush, Nixon, Eisenhower...serious thinkers that got us and kept us in power. Thinkers, not emotional rollercoasters.

Yes, we will have to swallow some RINO shit but I’d rather get 75% of the conservative agenda through and swallow the 25% RINO crap while stopping all the liberal crap rather than concede the moderates to the left and have to swallow 100% liberal crap.

He didn’t vote to advance the bill. NOT a single Republican voted to pass this bill. Yes pass because Democrats/Marxists will use the nuclear option to break the Republican fillibuster if they have to.

Save your fire for the real enemy , the democrats , who all of them voted to advance (pass) this socialist bill, to destroy our Republic while not one Republican voted to destroy our Republic.

Voinovich is the enemy with in the tent.

Voinovich is my Senator. He is the Republican I have had to hold back dry heaves while I voted for him.

Voinovich is the illustrious Senator who I gaped at in disbelief while he cried on the Senate floor while urging his fellow Senators to vote against the confirmation of John Bolton’s nomination for United Nations ambassador.

I agree that in the larger scheme of things Voinovich’s failure to cast a vote did not have any role in the advance of the Healthcare Bill it did show a lack of solidarity in the Senate Republican ranks that can not help the cause.

While I do not enjoy criticizing a Republican Senator (especially my own) I can not help but do so when one is AWOL on an issue important to the survival of the Republic.

In the final tally, all 58 Democrats, and the two independents allied with the party, joined together to move forward on the bill. The roll call was conducted with senators sitting at their desks, a rarely used show of decorum that underscored the significance of the vote. Thirty-nine Republicans were opposed. One Republican, Sen. George Voinovich of Ohio, didn't vote.

Fortunately Voinovich is retiring after this term.

Maybe we can elect a real Republican.

Ohio Pings!

Yes, Voinabitch has nothing to lose.

Maybe we can elect a real Republican.

I'd prefer to elect a real Conservative!

Might as well go whole hog if one is gonna break the law. if every alphabet agency is going to arrest me for not paying this tax, I might as well go down fighting bloody since this is only the first of about 300 monstrosities on the horizon from Obama. I only hope a few of them turn in their badge rather than fire on Americans.

Is that too radical an idea?

Unless youre being attacked by ravaging zombies and you have one bullet left. Oh wait..we are.

There was a saying during the old days that when fighting against Apaches, save the last bullet for yourself..you didnt want to be taken alive by an Apache.

Just sayin :)

We saw it coming beforehand:

Because this happened in Hitler's Nazi Germany.

Now it would threaten to repeat itself one more time, this time in the United States. Welcome to what the globalist elite put into power on November 4, 2008. It's a rigged game from the beginning.
