Not to be a nattering naybob of negativity, but as someone with a fair amount of spam filtering knowledge at the corporate level, I thought it would be important to tell you that most modern email programs will look at the number of recipient in the To:, CC: and BCC: lines and figure the email is spam and automatically delete it (meaning: no human eyes will see it) if one cuts and pastes that entire list into one email. Many ISP's will look at the To: and CC: lines and automatically block the email from going out if they see that entire list copied and pasted into one email. (Comcast here in the Chicago area does that, for example.)

My recommendation would be to do the following: Place one address from the list in the To: line, and no more than 5-7 addresses in the CC: line. This should give those who are emailing the Senate today the best chance of their email getting through and actually being seen by human eyes.

Yes I know this means sending alot more than just one email, but if one wants the outcome of their efforts to be a Senator or their staff actually seeing the email, what I recommended above will give you the best chance of success.

Just talked to Blanche Lincoln’s DC Office - the girl said she’s announcing how she’s voting this afternoon - I told her I was a constituent who would do everything in my power to vote her out if she votes yes and everything in power to vote her in if she votes no. Obviously she’s made up her mind already which sadly is probably yes tonight.
