But this romantic media creation of the poor put-upon borrower is a bunch of bullsh!t. When I first started doing loans, I was of that opinion. I got disabused of that rather quickly. Most deadbeats are just that. Deadbeats. They borrowed money to buy some toy they didn't need or to live in way more house than they could afford. This has always been my suspicion. Thanks for confirming it.

It’s only designed to keep foreclosure numbers down, not out of concern for the foreclosed upon, but for obama’s numbers, while Obama is president, so he can kick the can down the road .
In essence, as long as he’s president, not doing anything, meaning letting them who don’t pay their mortgages, let’s them live there free, while who actually owns the land? Fannie and Freddie. The government. Welcome to serfs and serfdom.

Sarah will need a huge broom and mop to clean Obama’s messes up.
We are the broom, voting corrupt congress out.
She is the holder of the mop.

In all fairness,I know of one person who was talked into a Countrywide mortgage against her better judgment.

If the judge finds that the mortgage company is not acting in good faith, she can hold the house in limbo by denying permission for a sheriffs sale. I wonder if these judges consider it "not acting in good faith" if the mortgage company expects the borrower to comply with the terms of their contract?

You just saved me $1,2021.85 a month, Trib! Thanks! I think I'll donate that money to Sarah Palin instead.

In all fairness,I know of one person who was talked into a Countrywide mortgage against her better judgment. I'm sure many who had no business do so have been talked into borrowing money. Lots of folks buy stuff they don't need, too. That's what Madison Avenue is all about.
But if stupidity no longer has consequences, then the human race is finished.
