No zebras, por favor.
Think mai-tai’s.
Mahalo!
Long day yesterday. Did catch all the truck race before I went to sleep in the recliner. :)
Looks like it's working to me! Gotta keep hoping for change, ya know?
Our H & C has resulted in a U-3 unemployment rate in Bend (Deschutes County) of 16.8%. With more H & C on the way it is estimated that U-6 will hit 25% here by Spring of next year.
NASCAR, with it’s shortcomings, is such a great diversion from insanity.
We do have zebras here too!
We will be cold next week though, global warming and such is coming. In the 30s next weekend, so you may have to look further south.
I’m a cruise guy. Maybe the Navy helped my love of the sea, but I love to travel cheap, as well. I almost flew to Spain to come back west for a couple of weeks..

It’s steadily rising down here and we’re fixing to drop the hammer on several. Amazing how they all show up and want to work now!
A cruise is on the radar but I’ve never been on one. I think it was G.R. a few weeks back that posted a photo of a ship for an Alaska cruise and it really got me to thinking about it. The Ms. is ready to go...
The Hawaii trip will be to reward Mrs. Happydog for putting up with my antics and shenanigans for 25 years. Too bad NASCAR doesn’t have a track on Maui or the Big Island...
Dude! It’s 8 degree fahrenheit here as I type. Bring on the global warming.
PIR is a great place to have a race this time of the year. We went to PIR, our first race, two years ago just to have some fun and some sun.
Will the fickle-finger-of-fate flex again?
Pretty picture of global warming here:

You rise early and have a hearty breakfast, go explore and play all day, then return for a fine dinner. Lunch usually involves adult beverages at half (or less) than the ship prices!
One time will hook you! You can cruise anywhere, and with competition from all the new ships chasing dollars, it can be very cheap. There are home ports within driving distance for many folk. Texans can go from the gulf and N'awlins.
Last minute deals are best, but for long term plans, most cruise lines will take a deposit, and monthly payments, as long as paid 45-60 days before the cruise.
Travelzoo and Kayak both have weekly deals on all types of travel and events.
We’re right where we’re supposed to be, 74 degrees, sunshine, and southerly breezes! :)
Thank you, I now have those sites in my travel favorites.
That’s unacceptable living conditions!
I’d move further south.
Hawaii doesn’t have misquitos and migrating birds that carry off women and children.
If you secede I’ll be there though.
Ah, you get used to that stuff after a while.
Don’t wait too long now, we may close the border at the Red before the Rio Grande.
I used to live in Woodside, Queens (NYC). Heavy Korean population. I’m not sure if it was kimchi, but there was one dish they would cook that would announce itself to the whole neighborhood.
Because of the camaraderie here on these threads I fell it is only right for Y’all to be the first to know that First Wife is about to become my Exwife. You see I brown bag my lunch on the Saturday I “WORK” and First Wife asks, What would you like for lunch today as the Fridge is always full of left over rib eye, pork roast, cornish game hen or lobster so I quipped how about Sardines. Fast forward to now when I peek at what’s for dessert and I see a pack of crackers and FIVE CANS OF SARDINES!!!!! First two guys that laugh will get 4 DNFs each tomorrow!!!
