I had long wondered why people on the Left had the propensity to speak more positively about people who would slit their throats than they do about their own country, which affords them more freedom and opportunity than anywhere else. David Horowitz has answered that question thoroughly and convincingly in his Unholy Alliance. Where I felt bewildered and confused, I now feel crystal clear. Unholy Alliance is such a great book.
It begins with the leftist movements at the beginning of the 20th Century, and works its way up to the present day, exploring the anti-American attitude of these movements in detail. Horowitz shows that the enemies of the US back then are largely the same group today, operating under the same misperceptions, making the same mistakes, and pursuing the same impossible utopia.

As much as I love George and Laura Bush, W called it a religion of peace as well.
Listening the Cairo speech (if your stomach can take it) you hear him reeling off a gigantic list of mostly fictitious accomplishments and contributions of Muslims. I was mentally making a list of people I have never heard a word of praise about from Obama: doctors, nurses, truck drivers, oil drillers, coal miners, etc., etc., etc. Also, never a word of praise for America—only for America as Obama would like to remake it.
Also, in the Cairo speeck, that finger-pointing, and the thumb-and-index-finger gesture, are very prominent, making Obama look more like an Imam than usual.
He’s a Muzzy. Always has been.
And Trinity United Church USED TO TELL CALLERS that Muslims DON’T have to become Christians in order to be members of the church.
Show me one invention that he is trying to give them credit for.... whatever they lay claim to is what they stole, plundered or received as an act of war from some creative advanced society...
