The difference between the Dims and the GOP. The Dims are afraid to cross their leadership. Not the ‘Pubbies. I want to see what the GOP does to “Marvin the ARVN” because he gave Il Douche his fig leaf. My bet. Nothing.

“Treason” is a little over the top, don’t you think?

Note a few things:
1. He voted the wishes of his constituents, not his party leaaders. Have we not been bitching since last summer about the Congressmen who don’t vote the way their constituents want as opposed to the Dem leadership ?

2. 39 Dems voted against the bill. Are they traitors, too?

3. Cho’s vote was at the last second, when the Dems already had their votes, so it was ok’s by the R leadership who understood his position vis a vis his constituents.

A House vote is only one step. It will be harder to pass in the Senate. Everyone ought to take a deep breath.

He was a Democrat before he was a “Republican”, and I think he is about to switch parties again for 2010. His district contains some of the poorest of the poor. He is in way over his head.

His excuse is that he was afraid he would lose his job if he voted against it. His job over principles.

Is that what he will decide when they come to take away our next freedom, when they stop free speech, what about when they come for me, my family, his family?

You have just lost you job buddy, if necessary I will help the dem defeat you, at least that way i know he is my enemy and I will not turn my back on him.

Look. He didn’t vote until the matter was decided. I’m sure he was whipped not to and, frankly, if it came down to him, I’m sure he would have voted no. But he voted yes to save his ass on a bill that was already going to pass by the time he voted.

I see no great harm in this. It’s not a numbers game after 218...

A RINO POS like Dede and Newt. If we had NY-23 and did not have this clown - it probably would not have passed.

C’mon folks. His story is as American as apple pie.

Where else, but in America, can a poor immigrant boy grow up, get a first class education, win a seat in his adopted country’s legislature and screw all of his fellow citizens with one swipe of a voting card.

I’m inspired.

Save your powder. Cao is irrelevant. He was an endangered Republican before this vote and he remains so after the vote. His only real mandate in the first place was to deprive his predecessor of his seat. I’m a little annoyed that the abortion issue was the only thing that was keeping this bill from getting passed.

Cao escapes communist Vietnam to help America left...
What a head scratcher???

=

Anh “Joseph” Cao was born in Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam. His father, an officer with the South Vietnamese Army, was imprisoned by the Communists.

At the age of eight, Joseph escaped to America with two of his siblings. He learned English, thrived in school, and earned a physics degree from Baylor University before he began studying for the priesthood.

***

Cao just stab Bobby Jindal in the back!

-

In 2007, Governor Jindal appointed Joseph Cao to help ensure fair voting as a member of the Board of Elections for Orleans Parish. He was also elected to lead the Louisiana Republican Party both on the parish and state levels. And earlier this year Joseph Cao was elected delegate to the Republican National Convention.
