Where I have a huge issue is where some "natural" healers push their agenda as an "either us or them" with tragic consequences that I have witnessed first hand. One "organic" patient that had a curable cancer that was melting away to the size of a grape suddenly "stopped the poison" of proved chemotherapy to go off to California to have some "curative herbs" administered only to come back nine months later with a recurring tumor that was, literally, the size of a football.

I've never had a holistic physician give me the "us or them" ultimatum, but I'm sure it happens as you say. The cancer story you talk of is, of course, sad. I have friends who beat the beast, and others who didn't. None of them used any holistic means by which to help fight, but I still feel there's a holistic cure out there somewhere ...

Certainly lifestyle alterations can help prevent the illness to begin with, and that is where the knowledge of holistic physicians is the most beneficial ... not only physicians, but nutritionists as well. Mine was worth his weight in Gold. Now that he's moved, I'm using Frankincense and Myrrh (essential oils):).

Natural “cures” are BS...they give hope while they take our money. Are you going to tell me that there’s a natural cure for AIDS or the plague or the common cold? Science has even mapped the entire biology systems of the human body, and yet there are cures? Where’s the nature cure for the flu?

Natural “cures” are BS...they give hope while they take our money. Think about it. If you have AIDS or cancer, and your doctor says you’re screwed, you are going to believe anything to make you better. It’s the first stage of dying—denial. Are you going to tell me that there’s a natural cure for AIDS or the plague or the common cold? Of course, no doctor doesn’t know this and not making money hand over fist. Science hasn’t even finished mapping the what really makes the body work—new conditions and discovers are made via the scientific method everyday, and yet these people know natural cures? Where’s the nature cure for the flu?

There’s natural cures for all sorts of things. I have a holistic physician, so I speak with her regarding these remedies. If I find something on the Web that looks interesting to try, I’ll run it by her first. Having a doctor you trust is the first milestone to reach and actually that took me some time to find her. But after you accomplish that, it’s just a matter of communicating with your doctor.
