“Anyone know why it took well over 5 minutes for someone to shoot at the terrorist, on the largest Army base in the world? And then to be stopped by an off duty female civilian?”
I know the answer: Because normal law-abiding citizens aren’t allowed to carry on Federal installations.
I guess we have to keep Sgt Munley and her family in our prayers now. That is about our only recourse.
In this war without fronts, It looks like that policy will deservedly be under review.
I’ve read earlier reports that she was there in 3 minutes. Is it an issue with you that it was a female officer?
Good point. The Slimes targeting her for retribution?
I wouldn’t doubt it. Like I said, I’m VERY skeptical that ANYONE in the Slimes, including the Faux “Conservative” David Brooks, thinks that shooting a homicidal muzzie is a good thing.
Maybe she should change her “intended homes” to something the Slimes didn’t “report” on.
Wow. Hat is off, eyes blurry.
Excellent question. I’d like to know that myself.
And today we break ground on the national 9/11 mosque in Shanksville PA.
Oh no—hope u Christians and Jews will be ok.
Gee McGavin you woke up on the wrong side of bed, I myself thought it was odd that no one else was able to get off a shot at the perp after all it is a military base.
Wow! What a gal!
Does anyone know what sort of weapon was used by Maj. Hasan? Also, how did he get it onto the base? If it was there to begin with, did he have to sign it out, as you had to do? When signing a weapon out, is it checked by whomever to see if it is loaded or not? Maybe these sort of rules don’t apply to an officer versus an enlisted man? I just don’t know myself. Any thoughts on your part?
He used two guns purchased legally by himself.
For Jihad purposes.
When ever I signed out my issued weapon or my own personal sidearm, it was never issued loaded. No problem to get it on base though as he could have easily had them in his personal vehicle or on his person. Officers have to keep their weapons in the same arms room everyone else does if they live in the barracks or officer quarters. Or least at the posts I served (Ft. Sill, Ft. Bliss, Camp Colbern (ROK)). I know that Maj. Hasan *spit*, used pistols. What kind or caliber, I do not know. Probably Baretta 92s. The reason I say Baretta 92s is because unless he was a frequent shooter, those are the pistols he would be most familiar with due to his military training and qualification.
From the NYT?
*am opening front door to see the spectacle of pigs flying*
Just saw her boss on Fox. Apparently she was shot almost immedeately upon arriving. She engaged the shooter even though she was shot. Was struck again. Stayed in the fight, WAS STRUCK ONCE MORE, and finally put the shooter down. I can’t give this woman enough props for her courage.
I cannot say how much I admire this lady. She jumped forward in the face of possible death and rendered the shooter incapable of continuing his actions.
I hope the various law enforcement associations recognize her with their highest awards for bravery.
I would expect der leader to do so too but he and Holder will be debating why she did not tell him to stop and read him his rights before shooting him.
I only wish she had a 12 gauge rather than the 9mm.
Vince
And I’ll bet she’ll say she was just-doing-her-job. ;)
At 5-foot-4, no wonder the call her “Mighty Mouse.”
