“Rent-a-cop” is what we military in my day called the Federal civilian police. The term wasn’t used with great affection.
We had an eight-year, two-theater war going on in 75-79?
Not anymore!!
God Bless Kimberly Munley
My nephew is a civilian Military cop at Fort Bragg. They are professional and well trained today. FWIW, he’s also a Warrant Officer in the National Guard and is a veteran of Iraq. His wife is a Warrant Officer helicopter pilot currently serving in Afghanistan.
They have basically taken over the police functions at Army Posts. Have not heard about the other services. Maybe a fellow Jarhead can tell us about the Corps.
thank God for her being there.......
If she was in England, she could have thrown her billy club at him; I’m sure that would have worked well.
Anderson Cooper interviewed her partner on the telephone in an exclusive interview tonight. He thought he had brought down the Major. Said he was about 15 yards away.
Would love to get an official account of the takedown. Saw the live press conference by the Army tonight and they gave no new details except that they thought the killer got off 100 rounds. DUH! I wasn’t there and I could have told you that based on the casualties.
I am very proud of the way both Sgt Munley and her partner engaged the enemy without waiting for SWAT. They are National heroes!
We still have fighter aircraft at active bases in the U.S. don't we?
I'm not trying to be glib, But where was security?
Cheers.

God bless her & give her a full recovery!
God Bless her. But she didn’t stop the evil murderer! Her superior officer did while saving HER life in the process.
