Life has not been a bed of roses but there is much I would not change. In fact, I went one further and entered into a mixed-race marriage myself. It's certainly a whole lot different for me and my wife but we still, on occaision, encounter individuals whose opinion, regardless how irrelevent, is made well known. I have an enormous amount of respect for my parents knowing what it was like for them.
And I know what an incredible amount of love, hard work and dedication it takes to care for your parents; I commend you. I've been there. They must have been great parents to raise a child on whom they can rely. It truely is a testament to their parenting skills. Good luck with that and may you enjoy your folks for many years to come.
Thank you again. :-)
Mom (who had polio as a child and is worried about its return to Grannies) got a prescription for arthritis and Dad is going to start taking an anti-depressant. He was a sergeant in WWII (orphaned at 10 and thought the Army was the best mother he ever had)...but he has been demonstrating some symptoms of depression lately.
Let me state that I am the least capable caregiver in the county.
They raised me tough...and I exact the same price from them.;-)
Long story short...God bless you and yours.
You are what makes America great!
When he grew up, did his nickname transition to "Tater Salad"?
