That’s start to finish - 14 minutes. He didn’t have an entire 14 minutes of quality time with his handguns. He was interrupted by four rounds to various points of his body sometime during that 14 minutes.

I would assume that his being shot occurred at the end of those 14 minutes. Given that she was the first responder, and I an not aware of any other person who fired at him, what other interruption would he have had?

I’m wondering, if the room was crowded, how many rounds might have passed through one victim and hit another.

“Allah Akbar” Code words for murdering innocents in Iraq, Afghanistan, other places and here.”

And Hussein, The POS POTUS, said “don’t jump to conclussions”. What a PRICK!

At what point is all of this going to EXPLODE?

Another thread is saying he has at least one FN Five-Seven pistol.

The magazines for those hold 20 rounds, with one in the gun. Also, that gun has little recoil and is relatively easy for even a novice shooter to shoot fast. If he had 2 of them, that's 42 rounds without reloading.

The round that gun fires is somewhat controversial with regard to terminal effectiveness, I bet many professionals will be reassessing their opinion of it. Even the non-AP version of that round available to civilians will penetrate 42 layers of Kevlar, so I'm wondering if any of the rounds exited any of the victims, which could have led to wounds in others, especially if they were crowded together, trying to get away, through doorways, etc.

With the 5.7x28, the caliber reportedly used, that is a possibility.

You must not have moch experience with pistols. If I had five magazines it would probably take about three minutes to fire 75 times with time to spare.

I will readily admit I have little to none. I have fired my father-in-law’s service revolver at a range, an M-16 and a Luger (all at a range). My experience would probably total an hour and ten minutes.

I do not dispute the fact that the man in a coma on a ventilator is the perp. I dispute the fact that he was a similarly situated novice (as I would be) and that he suddenly became conflicted by his expectation of deployment or that this was not a completely premeditated act, well planned and initiated (as many are suggesting it is). This man was a “sleeper” whether alone or with help, he was a sleeper.

Okay, I just finished watching/listening to the recording.

This guy was some “piece of work”...well Satan is everywhere.

Sooner or later, we are going to have to give the muzzies the jihad they so desperately want.

Semper Fi,
Kelly

From another thread:

The major was a regular at a shooting range I have a partner with. He used a FN 5.7 x 28 pistol. He was at the range this weekend and was very adept at shooting targets at 100 yards.

So your suspicions were on target. This was not a guy who "snapped."

Thank you. It’s so hard to live with the fact that I can tell when someone’s pants are on fire and they are unable to feel the heat. Bain of my existence. Thank you. I try to come off as subtly as I can, but sometimes I feel the urge to spell it out in boxcar letters... YOUR PANTS ARE ON FIRE!!! ;-)

You forgot something - he had to holster one gun to reload.

After emptying both weapons in his first volley, he then had to holster or drop one of his handguns.

I wonder what he was wearing when he did this, because I’d like to know where he kept the clips.

So he comes in, two pistols on him, and multiple clips. Let’s even say he bought the 25 round clips. How long are those? A foot long?

For 80 shots, you are talking the two original clips plus a minumum of two more.

He lugs in all of this, walks in, opens fire. He empties, holsters or drops a pistol, then reloads, then opens fire again using only the single gun until he’s out, then reloads again.

This assumes continuous fire. I’m assuming continuous fire because had he stopped to reload both pistols, I would think he may have been rushed and tackled, since the description of the carnage rendered was ‘point blank’.

There is a report (only one that I’ve seen — looking/waiting for a comfirming report) that the shooter only used one pistol....

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2380166/posts

” The initial investigation shows that Hasan allegedly used only one gun during the attack — a 5.7-caliber semiautomatic pistol. “

Much more info about this particular weapon downthread....

Look, if you have something to say to me, you can do it in on this thread. I don't have the time or inclination to open FReepmail from strangers.

He didn't have to hit all his targets with every rounds as some have speculated. This gun has penetration power. A shot would go through one victim and into another in a room packed with people like sardines.

This guy was no novice. He might not have been at the base range much, but he knew how to shoot. Just to maintain the focus for each shot is indicative of mental preparation.

It appears he was not. According to another Freeper who is a partner at a shooting range in Texas, he dropped 400 rounds last weekend. Even my son who has taken an exceeding long time to figure out ammo costs money doesn't drop that much.

The “Major” was a very focused individual. I'm so glad his six figure salary afforded him the luxury of that exquisite weapon and the equally lethal bullets to go with it. He, apparently, didn't have difficulty finding a supply of bullets — unlike some outposts in Afghanistan.

I just resent it when the media and the people who we pay to protect and represent us think we're too stupid to figure it out. If you're going to lie to me, at least have the dignity to make it reasonably palatable.

Well, I'll be ding-donged! I thought I was taking the high road by keeping my lowbrow commentary off the public site and moving over to mail. Sorry. You and I just don't seem to see much of anything in the same light, hayna? Adios.

It is a warning to grab anything that can be used as a weapon.

I got the range at least once a week. I simply love to shoot. But you are right about the cost of ammo. While I love shooting the bigger stuff, I have to suffer with a few hundred .22 lr and keep the 9mm and 40’s to a minimum these days.

I am not sure if there is a conspiracy within the media. I think it is more ignorance. Quite frankly, they believe what they see in the movies, and they are too ignorant and lazy to figure out what they don’t know.
