May as well take them down

Good idea, because fighting foreign tyranny is sooo much harder than just giving up your own culture.

My ruling would be like this: Crucifixes are forbidden to be displayed in public restrooms as well as all other public rooms.

So you are in favor of judges dictating from the bench?

***The Italian government said it would appeal.***

Why appeal? Just tell the EU court to butt out of your internal affairs.

You sound bitter and looking for a fight.

Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

courage to change the things I can;

Good call. I will start by pointing out tyranny to those who are accidentally advocating it in the hopes that it was indeed accidental.

Back in the 70s, there were several Italian nationals working in the non-secure area of our Embassy’s communications center. They had a crucifix prominently displayed on the wall and I don’t remember anyone raising a stink about that. I’m sure by now our own State Department weenies would have removed the cruficix themselves.
