Sometimes it seem like even some old timers are

liberal trolls spouting idiocies about Islam from time to time.

Where do they get such ignorance?

Does 7/11 sell cartons of ignorance at really cheap prices?

There seem to be a lot of FReepers who suddenly developed an amazing degree of confidence in the notoriously dangerously incompetent Florida child welfare system, right around the time this girl and her internet “pastor” friends started up with the stories about how she’d be dead in no time if she had to set foot back in Ohio, even though she’d be in Ohio state foster care and not with her parents (who, by the way, were in Florida for all but the first 2 weeks Rifqa was there). Do you seriously believe that if some jihadist nutjobs in Ohio were bent on killing her, they couldn’t figure out how to get to her in Florida?

The only real effect this whole contrived drama has had, is to plant some homicidal ideas in the heads of a few young wannabe jihadists who’d never heard of Rifqa Bary before these “pastors” got their hands on her and started using her to try to promote themselves. IF she was ever in any real danger at home (or even just mistakenly believed she was), responsible members of the clergy who learned of her situation would have helped put her in the hands of Ohio authorities via a sane and legal process.

I understand your points.

I don’t find the the most pregnant ones in the situation.

Please ping me on all things Rifqa. My daughter and I plan on traveling from California to be at Rifqa’s rally.

Oh, Heavenly Father, please deliver your servant, Rifqa. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Amen & amen!!! Great prayer. Rifqa has been at the top of my prayer list since August. Your prayer says it all. I will repeat your words in my prayers. God bless.

She will be in grave danger the rest of her life.

The radical Muslims have killed over 8000 Americans since 9/10/01.

One more little girl should be no problem for them.

I agree. Apart from a miracle this sweet girl is a goner. There are too many out there who would kill her thinking it done in the honor of something or the other.

She’s not in prison. It’s not clear she was ever in any danger at home — she *claims* she was, but there’s no actual evidence, and a fair amount of evidence that she wasn’t...these self-styled “pastors” are eagerly exploiting her and encouraging her fantasy martyr complex for their own purposes.<<<<<<<<<

I didn’t say she was in prison, but trust me, “state custody” is no guarantee of safety. One of my coworkers witnessed a planned killing in a supposedly very safe location. And then that person was targeted for witnessing same.

And what proof is there that she has a “fantasy martyr complex”? I’d hate to be that kid if she is by chance correct in her assertions and instead of getting help, she gets diagnosed and ridiculed by proxy. If she was diagnosed professionally, why is that information public (she’s a minor, HYPPA, etc.)?

I agree. Totally agree.<<<<<<<<<

Thank you, and imagine being that kid if she’s correct and ends up getting treated like she’s the nutcase? It’s like a bad TV movie plot. Even if she made questionable decisions hooking up with people she didn’t know, if she did it out of true fear for her life that doesn’t make her mentally ill. Either way, she is now in a truly precarious situation.

“HYPPA” should of course have read “HIPAA” (way to early in the morning for me to be posting).

self-styled “pastors”

You shouldn't label people without knowing them, the sacrifices they've made, the people they've won for Christ and the battle scars they wear. I've known Jamal for about 7 years now. He is one of your so-called "self-styled" pastors and I can tell you he is the real thing.

He also has a muslim background and lives the life Christ has chosen for him - in danger every day for the choices he has made to stand for Christ and to witness to his people with an incredible heart for that only. I personally know 3 men that have come from the darkness of Islam and are today Christian leaders, Jamal and Ergun Caner - both incrediably from Gahanna, Ohio and another I can not name. Dr. Caner is now the head of the Seminary at Liberty UNiversity (Jerry Falwell's school)

God is moving during these days and Praise Him, people and people are responding.
