Did anyone else notice the equivalence of terminology used in describing the coyotes and the victim?

The article says one coyote was shot, but they didn’t find a “body”. They later refer to looking for an “individual” when looking for the other attacking coyote.

Maybe it’s a Canada thing - just seemed strange to me.
