Frank has a cold, and I was awake most of the night making sure he was breathing, feeding him, and turning him over so his sinuses would drain the other way. Finally we got up and came downstairs, but then we had to let the dog out and give her breakfast at 0330. Got a little sleep on the sofa with the catz.
Oi. Sick babies. I hate when that happens, poor babies.
I just finished getting two packages ready to go for Thursday, and have one to go, then one to my Knight to go out on Friday, after I’ve picked up a few more goodies.
I’m already tired...
Pete is having some issues as well. Recently had an ear infection. Put him on Antibiotics. Congestion kept him awake so he'd try and join us in bed.
Now he's feeling better, but refuses to sleep in his own bed again...
Wipe his ears out every day with Tea-tree Oil. You can get it at Walmart in a little green jar with a yellow label, in the vitamin aisle.
Frank’s feeling a little better today. It’s hard getting Tylenol or Motrin down him for the fever ... it makes him spew.
I don’t trust doctors when it comes to what my body can tolerate with CFIDS. It responds much better to natural remedies, so I’m getting some goldenseal. I’ve had ulcers periodically all my life, and after the first bout (when I was 31) I’ve always taken care of them myself.
The doctor isn’t going to tell me something I don’t know. I just won a crucial argument with him about my “high blood pressure.” He kept wanting me to take BP meds and I refused, telling him my BP is NOT high.
I monitored it for three weeks, and guess what: average BP for that time is 110/65. Pretty doggone good for an old broad!!
And I don’t take man-made antibiotics. I even used Augmentin, and it was useless. They don’t work on me. I use olive leaf extract.
You seem quite knowledgeable about medical things. Are you in the medical field?
My son never had an ear infection, and I don’t know why. Of course, I never put him in bed with a bottle, and never allowed him to drink milk at bedtime. But maybe he just has lucky genes!
HIS son, however, was plagued by ear infections up until about four years ago. He will be 13 on Wednesday.
Afternoon, all. Short day in the office; when my coughs descended into heaves I figured it was time to go home. Fortunately I had not eaten since dinner.
LOL. I had never looked at the tagline above: “(And these three remain: change, hope and government. But the greatest of these is government.)”
The ones I hate are the ones that make the skin on your back feel a porcupine skin inside out.
Then your stomach and back hurt for days.
You were puking too?
That’s swine flu.
Thanks for the ping, Sis.
You warm enough?
We had our first snow this morning.
I have lots of layers to put on; thick sox, leg warmers, thermal shirts, sweats...slippers...
We’re supposed to have rain for the weekend, so I guess Mt. Charleston will see another dusting of snow. I’m sure Brian Head will be packed. (Southern Utah)
All my winter coats are in storage “somewhere.”
No. It’s post-nasal drip triggering cough triggering extreme gag reflex aggravated by some medication I’m taking. I’ve suffered this before but today I was unable to break the chain so I figured I’d better head home rather than worry my coworkers.
Snow! No snow has shown up in our forecasts yet.
Phew. I hope you feel better soon.
Are you tired of turkey yet?
Tired of turkey yet? Nope, but it won't take much longer.
How much snow did you get?
LOL — halfway through the operation and committed when it suddenly crossed my mind, “Maybe it’s not such a good idea to pour the packet of Energen-C into a hot cup of water all at once...” Whoosh!
LOL!
I’ve never tried it hot, but I bet the orange is good in hot cider!!
The lemon-honey is soothing.
