the clown congress wont likely do that.

Maybe they will. This is all about power. There are more vote failures on the near horizon and Reid & Pelosi will not go quietly under the bus. Nor will they want to look impotent to their voters in the 2010 election. Reining in the czars is a lot more likely than impeachment, for example.

Once he gives any of his czars portfolio powers they *are* Constitutionally required to submit themselves to Congressional review.

I don't know anything about Constitutional Law but if this is true... When the czar made the unilateral decree in executive compensation two days ago, wouldn't that be considered "portfolio powers"?

Quite right. He just made a decision that cut out Congressional oversight, and did so on authority granted to him improperly, by the Obama Administration.

“Maybe after 2010. Then I would bring up Rahm and grill him till he explodes and does something really stupid. He is hateful with a bad temper just like Clinton. I also would have pushed Clinton to the brink to see him do something stupid. He almost did it on national TV. I bet Hannity could do it.”

This is probably a pretty good strategy, but I wouldn’t wait until 2010. I would love to see Beck begin a long running expose on everything about Emmanuel and his family. He could call it: “From Ballerina to Bastard, The Rahm Emmanuel Story” I’m sure it wouldn’t take long for his little head to explode! That would be a 2 bucket popcorn performance! :)

Huh, imagine that: a White House refusing to allow policy-makers to testify before representatives of the people.

Transparency.

The explosion of temper is short. We need to get it on tape or TV. You are talking about a long term explosion. I want to see it now. Like Clinton with his finger pointing on TV. I would have goated Clinton till he hit me right on Camera. What a shot heard round the world. We need to do that with the Toe Dancer. He is just full of hate.

Folks we have a SHADOW GOVERNMENT.
It IS the “czars” that are calling the shots behind the scenes. Our stupid representatives pass BILLS THEY WRITE.

What shocks me is that some Blue Dog Democrats are going along with this. SOme of them, I know, still LOVE their country ... and yet they are going along with PARTISAN POLITICS at its WORST.”

I have said for months that the ‘CZARS’ are a SHADOW GOVERNMENT.

I think NObama is prepping for a COUP. Period.

He has swallowed the remark Al Gore made in 2000 about “no controlling legal authority”.

NObama is totally out of control. Can Congress be tried for treson for not reining NObama in?

Eric Holder won’t do a thing.

Can Congress find their cojones and do some work on this?

Mr. Craig said the new positions Mr. Obama has created within the White House “are solely advisory in nature” and have no independent authority.
Didn’t one of them just set limits on executive pay...and Obama said the guy came to that decision all on his own?”

This whole thing is turning into a circular firing squad, isn’t it?

Thats why presidents love to appoint czars. They are`nt answerable to Congress or anyone else, except the person who appoints them””””

NObama says Feinberg acted alone in his pay scale decision.

Who is telling the truth here???

The next 75 employees at the top of the scale in these 7 companies are slated for ‘review’ starting Jan 1, 2010, per Feinberg. I’ll bet the headhunters in New York are working overtime to place all these people elsewhere.

IMO, Neither GM nor Chrysler will exist in any form at any level within 3 years. Their buildings will lay empty, ala Atlas Shrugged, until this White House and Congress is totally cleaned out. Then, perhaps there will be individuals like Walter Chrysler and Louis Chevrolet who will start new companies. Meanwhile, I intend to keep as many spares on hand as I possibly can do for my 2 GM vehicles. They are old- they are paid for- they run and are easy to repair!!! They do NOT have ONSTAR!!!!!!!

The 2 car company financial arms will also be gone, GMAC and Chrysler Financial.

B of A, Citibank, and AIG will be bare bones, and all 7 companies will have lost 700 employees at the top of the experience and ability food chain.
Other companies will have taken them, or they will have started their own companies and they will OWN ALL OF THE STOCK THEMSELVES so they can operate with more autonomy.

I’ll bet that Roger Penske was dancing like Gene Kelly last night, when he realized that to have taken over Saturn might have put him into the target zone of having his hand-picked people subject to outside pay restrictions.

For a very successful businessman, Roger finds the very best- from his dealerships to his racing teams and then pays them what they want. His sucesses from the mid-60’s forward proves he knows what he is doing. I really admire him.

How many banks and other companies are going to donate to Democraps in the next elections????
How many of those well paid executives?

How much income tax money is New York state going to lose over this decision? I have heard as much as 1 billion in tax revenue.

NObama found a way to punish Patterson for running again, didn’t he.??

Isn’t there some constitutionally authorized bureaucrat already serving in a similar post these czars are suppose to be overseeing? Why would someone that is legally heading a bureaucracy take orders from some dirtbag that has no legal authority? If I were heading a federal agency I wouldn’t even return the czar’s phone call.”

BINGO!!

These CZARS are not calling their counterparts in the agencies and Cabinet departments that already are in place.
The CZARS are usurping those cabinet people and their authority.

There is no interaction- it is a takeover.

I say the CZARS are a SHADOW GOVERNMENT and that this is all leading to a COUP by NObama.

Yes, if a Republican tried it.
Who would object when a Democrat does it?

It was like the poster they had going on past posts. “It isn’t Socialism when we do it!”

It would be funny if they would rein in the czars, then we vote all their hineys out of office next year. That would be rich.

Then supeona them to appear before Congress and then fight it out in the Supreme Court, but Mr. Craig better be ready to explain how unelected offials can run U.S. domestic policy as unelected “officials”, who knows, it may lead to a BC fight

This is what is the core root of the wh agenda. “Don’t ask, don’t tell” has taken a whole new meaning. Add it to your obama dictionary.

Called my senators’ offices today and asked them to investigate and challenge this usurpation of the authority of our elected officials. . . also threw in my comments about health care and cap & trade. Casey and Specter are useless, but if we’re paying for their phones and staff, I may as well do my part to melt the lines.
