Reminds me of the fable of the Goose That Layed The Golden Egg.
Perhaps the story was never read in O’s private schools but we read the story in public schools and learned the intended message.

The automatic problem today is that College Graduates have not studied the basics. They've taken “studies” courses, like “African Studies” or “Womens Studies” or “Environmental Studies” or “Middle Eastern Studies.” Oh, they can spout propaganda, but they can't write a cohesive paragraph using proper syntax, tell you where Iceland and New Zealand are on a map . . . don't even ask them to name the US States and the Capitols of those States.
We have ALLOWED the dumbing down of our children because we've been too busy to stop and find out what exactly they are learning . . . because WE were dumbed down . . . some of us, anyway. You want to know "real" history? Find a history book written before WWII. Better, one before WWI. The better histories are those written before "revisionism" became a chronic illness among "educators."
